Battlefield 3 does look like the new graphics king.

Judging from the recent short gameplay debut, it already surpassed Crysis MAX in my opinion.

I will go as far as saying it as the visually superior game to Crysis 2.

What interesting here is if the short video turns out to be a console montage, how will PC gamers react? (that gameplay debut apes even the Crysis 2 leak)

Still, to be rational, I think it's a PC footage on MAX.

We know consoles cannot outpower even many mid-end gaming PC's, so if it's even remotely possible that is is console footage, then the PC version would look markedly better, no?

Still remember getting BF2 and being told you need 64mb Vram to play:P I brought 128mb Vram graphics card and could only play it on medium. Still looked amazing though.

Did everyone forget those Game Informer scans? The video is those scans in motion, the scans had the MOH HUD while the vid didn't, and if it's like BF2 you can alter the HUD.

I can see consoles not matching it, but PC is a different story.

I've learned not to believe graphics in teaser trailers. Especially when they're all quick cut like that, showing no more than 2 seconds at a time.Not-A-Stalker

no doubt. PC is the lead platform too, so it makes sense that is PC gameplay. And yes it is looking to be the new graphics king, although I won't jump to conclusions YET.

If it really is designed for PC it's possible. If you look at the hardware and games that were around when Crysis came out, and compare it to what we have today, it's a huge difference, yet Crysis hasn't been topped. There's a lot of untapped potential in the new PC hardware.

Crysis 2 is not what Crysis 1 was, they spend their resources getting it to run on consoles as is the case with pretty much every shooter these days. That trailer looks stunning, add proper destruction and 64 players and it is easily the best looking game around.

If anything consoles have touched up trailers and screens. Half of SW still thinks that the Gears 3 bullshots that have no HUD are actually real. What happened with Killzone 2 trailer also? Not even KZ3 looks that good.

Someone actually remade that E3 level demo btw. Someone also made a level that closely resembles the KZ2 video for Crysis.

Wasdie said in another thread Battlefield 2 was the first game to be DX9 only. That game ran extremely well considering the scale and how good it looked (And still looks imo.) We've yet to see what DX10 and DX11 can really do and it seems DICE is ready to show us by bringing Battlefield 3 with DX10/11 support only. DICE has some really good first class programmers :P

It is, but there is still some really ankward people who either think its console footage (seriusly now) or CGI.... ITs neither, its BF3 on PC, games would look like that if they were designed for 2011 hardware... time to start buying gaming PC's folks, next gen is hereLookAnDrolL

killzone 2 looks better than the 2005 trailer, i recently watched that trailer and it doesn't look too good anymore. killzone 3 especially looks alot better than it.
