Until I see more Footage, im not convinced, So far it looks Identical to Medal of Honour.

[QUOTE="andalore"]The MP part of MoH uses the same engine (Frostbite), albeit without the destruction. Sort of. I think it used the Frostbite 1 or 1.5 engine. BF3 is using Frostbite 2, a brand new enigne.Until I see more Footage, im not convinced, So far it looks Identical to Medal of Honour.

To be honest it looks cgi. There is no way Dice is pulling off those visuals.

This isn't 2005 and they aren't playing around with the consoles. They are making a DX10/DX11 native game with the full intent on kicking our processor's asses. They have gone out of their way to say that the console versions will be a modified PC version and the PC is the lead platform.
If you look at screenshots you can definitely tell they are in-game. It's just that they use a ton of camera and lighting effects to make the game look amazing in motion.

Yeah both BC2 and MOH did use the frostbite 1.5 engine. Thought TBH the graphics style does look very similar to the MOH game. The trailer is probably using some really nice lighting effect that wont make it in the final game. Kinda what people do with their videos in COD4 they edit the lighting effects within the engine then upload it to youtube, but they dont actually play the game like that. Its too bright its just for looks, at least I dont think I could play the game like that.
Are you kidding me? How can you even tell? Short is an understatement. Also, there was no HUD in the so called gameplay, I have every reason to believe it won't look like that.percechWhat if you don't have a HUD in game ? if that is an option, Im all for it.

There are games that do that, BF2 allows you to alter the HUD and Killzone games let you removed the HUD entirely.
Judging from the recent short gameplay debut, it already surpassed Crysis MAX in my opinion.
I will go as far as saying it as the visually superior game to Crysis 2.
Ravenchrome
Were you saw Crysis 2 maxed, and where you saw BF3 maxed? I only saw the BF3 trailer and Crysis 2 on mid settings (hardcore).
I think the graphics are actually pretty basic if you remove all the tesselation and effects. You're just left with square objects then :P
But of course we have to see more footage of it before giving a proper judgement and the effects do make a great difference.
After all, we'd all still be playing games the graphical quality of Quake 1 if it weren't for the effects :P
