No idea who this "we" you talk about is, but when I speculate about unreleased games (which isthe only thing you can do before they are released), I totally do it based on previous entries.
1. The chances of MW3 being any different from its predecessors are slim (if they were, no one would buy it). 2. BF3 has already been shown to be a forward-thinking game for the genre, with the focus being on the PC. 3. DICE has a much more consistent track record for producing both fresh and high quality experiences that last longer than 6 months. 4. The big wigs within Infinity Ward were booted from the company, so their ideas are no longer being input into the series. 5. BF2 and the entire Battlefield series on the whole has been much better than Call of Duty. 6. Call of Duty United Offensive had to rip elements from BF1942 in order to even come close to matching quality.
BF3 > MW3
Period. There can't even be argument about this. They are in two entirely different tiers.
Of course we don't know which game is better yet but I preferred BC2 to MW2 and I think that suggests that I'll prefer BF3 to MW3 so I think BF3 will be the better game.

Completely disagree with this statement. CoD sells on name recognition currently. The next CoD game could be a rail shooter with no multiplayer and it will still sell an initial 10 million units. The next installment would likely suffer, but this next one would most certainly sell well because the CoD brand is currently the hottest thing in video games.
Can't really say which one is better at this point in time, but I am getting BF3. At this point in time, I can't see anything in COD that would make me go "wow".

They could take out all the guns and it would still sell like crazy. In fact if I were as evil as the activision people I might just do that because I can. Or maybe advertisements instead of killcam :P

BF3 is a rehash even though the last game that came out in the BF series was 6 years ago? :? From what we've seen they look nothing alike. And we've seen so little.
What makes you so sure? We really know nothing about either game and only BF3 has had any footage shown. Besides any game that requires the best of the best of the best of the best of PC's to run at its best isnt going to get the overall popular vote. Imo, CoD will once again win the dual like it has over BFBC and BFBC 2. Sales speak very loudly and the last few BF games have paled in comparison in sales to CoD. Now that being said, I personally prefer the Battlefield gameplay over CoD and I will be all over BF3 even though I wont have a PC that will run it anywhere near max settings.

Good thing this thread isn't about sales Unfortunately, MW3 probably will outsell BF3. Maybe there's a chance that it won't though, somehow. lol nope..BF3 has no chance at outselling the next call of duty.
