Mechanically, at it's heart, Battlefield V subjectively delivers a much more refined infantry style gameplay. Tanks or snipers no longer dominate the main of the game; squad based actions are more rewarded in the style of Bad Company 2 & BF3. The graphics and destruction are the best the series has known thus far, the Map design is varied and each offer their own unique play-style. Yet something is missing here in V. Polish (not Poland), balance across all utilities, sheer amount of content & map sizes seem to be the problems. A 2 year strict deadline put on DICE, the company filled with the highest calibre of talent in the industry, might have been too little. Why couldn't they deliver the AAA+ in this time? Is it the increased development time the AAA+ games of this generation asks for & could it be that DICE is entirely dependant on EA for their direction of the game? Again, the core of the game is so well (generally accepted) grounded and has so much potential for the future. But potential is all we truly get at this point and that is arguably not enough to warrant a full purchase for a biyearly release. What's your take on this?
