You see it in this thread, as well as in user scores for BFV and even outside stuff like The Last Jedi; using identity politics to make their tribe feel threatened. The victims of these strategies are not bad people, they are simply manipulated into thinking they are in danger, and therefore react accordingly.

thats total BS the left has been using identity politics for decades now. They focus on race, gender and sexuality non stop. Its all built on their ideology of systematic oppression. Where if your born with white skin you some how are responsible for all hardships of other minorities. I used to think i was a more left thinking person until the left started crying racism and sexism over every single issue. It turned me away from the democratic party and is a major reason i wont vote for them, they are even trying to demonize nationalism which is the one thing that actually connects all people as Americans. Hillary's campaign was literally a "vote for me i have a vagina". To act like its the right that are the ones riding identity politics is absurd. The left has been so obsessed over identity politics they forgot about jobs, the economy, national security. They literally only talk about racism and sexism. You can mainly blame "progressives" and their toxic SJW dribble and that is definitely a side effect of the left not the right.

(I think accusing large groups of people for problems is exactly what started all these problems. I hope I made it pretty clear that I'm pointing the finger at (what I think are) little left extremist groups or specific people doing these types of things, in this case. Not their sons and daughters or people who happen share their hobbies, their skin color or their dreams. And I'm sure this happens all over the political spectrum. You can't have a group of people without someone who takes things too far.)

@jeezers@Willy105 Hmmm. I don't think we can say it's the general left doing this or the general right doing this. Let's say that Vice is considered a 'leftist' media group, and they are known for writing articles to make men feel bad. Humor me and look up Vice and misandry and see what articles you come across. And I am sure that Willy105 can name some examples of this happening on 'rightist' media outlets. It doesn't really matter to me where they stand politically speaking. Whatever their motivations are, they spread polarizing half-truths and hatred. And imo it got out of hand. It's starting to infect CoC's, financial services, common discourse, the relationship between companies and their audience, our sense of reality, our ability to discuss things (on forums, but even at universities).

Blanket accusations uttered by trusted or influential sources should be reduced to what they are: typically, farfetched unsubstantiated prejudice or only half the story. It shouldn't be allowed to dictate our social interactions. And it's extremely tough (for me anyway) to not join in myself and start yelling at people 'on the other side,' because I'm emotionally invested and sensitive to being unjustly accused. And I get the feeling that's not just me but kind of everyone. I think that opposing the journalists who write hit pieces on gamers or on men or on women, for example, is something that should be in our interest no matter where we stand politically speaking. I think that all of us, no matter if we are leftist or rightist, should boycott places like Kotaku for writing hit-pieces that do more to misinform than to inform people, and seem almost designed to provoke a large number of people to respond in anger and frustration.

That's literally the "one race vs all the others" narrative spewed by the right to incite tribalism. You actually fell for it! The rest of your claims (including the really weird one about Hillary, which was two elections ago) shows talking points and narratives spewed specifically by conservative media...and nowhere else. If the only thing you see in the headlines is racism and sexism, that's because of the stuff you are following, not because that's what people outside the right are actually talking about. It's really prevalent when you bring up national security, which is heavily talked about everywhere. However, I have a sinking suspicion that the media you watch considers national security to mean that caravan of families down South more over than the actual attacks, mass shootings, and deaths that have occurred domestically; since I think for you to think that non-right people aren't talking about national security, it is probably that you are viewing/reading sources made specifically for the right.

Battlefield started to go downhill after with BF3 after BF 2142 and when they prevented modding and started charging £15 for 4 maps , ever since then BF has been a shadow of its former self.

Step back for a moment. Are they actually talking about you? Is that actually what people who aren't in the right believe? Or is it simply what has been shared with me by other people who think like me? They did on the Eastern Front (snipers, bomber and fighter pilots). A sniper is usually at the front lines. They can't really snipe bad guys from behind the lines.

At the front lines, there is usually a buffer called no man's land. Gotta take that into account when drawing up the front lines.

If you are un-ironically using terms like MSM and SJW, you are in deep into their ecosystem, and it's understandable why you'd be confused and frustrated as to why your ideas seem so absurd, even accusing me of being in denial. Also, TYT is trash, not sure why you watch them other than for self-hate.

@SolidGame_basic: A few bugs here and there, really nothing serious. It's similarly paced to BF1 in the small maps, but the two huge maps are more like bf of old. Tanks are way too slow, and too easy to kill, but I'm loving it so far....

@jeezers: MSM is not a term used universally, since usually people don't have a need to reference mainstream media as a whole, unless they have a narrative where their channels/websites/personalities are the one truth while the rest of the content out there is brainwashed/biased/misleading or otherwise considered/labeled as "the other". That's what I'm telling you here. I don't have my head in the sand, I'm saying that you have a warped view of reality. Democrats struggle because they can't capitalize on race like Republicans can, as Democrats don't have a monopoly on a single race like they used to, therefore they can't use identity politics to mobilize it. Democrats can't use "Evil White Man" as an enemy since white men are still part of the Democrat base. However, Republicans have no issue using "Evil (insert race/gender/creed here)" because they don't have to worry about losing that demographic. This is a modern era right-wing tactic through and through.

Am I stupid for deeming people stupid that compartmentalise people into extreme corners hence left or right? DICE have made some great games. The Battlefield series used to be really good, and they developed the Rally Sport games back on Xbox, and they were some of the best arcade racing games of the generation in my opinion.
