BBC reports unnamed PS3 game, possibly the best game ever.

Yeah, the topic title pretty much sums it up but I am curious to see this trailer:

So what else was I shown? Well, I was shown a trailer for a game not due out till 2009 but was sworn to absolute secrecy. Apparently, Sony just wanted to give a glimpse of what the console will be capable of.

In fact, the game is such a secret that when I mentioned the game to Phil Harrison last week he was unsure at first whether even to admit the title existed. When I explained I had been shown it under strict Non Disclosure Agreement terms he looked relieved.

I don't mean to be a tease - all I can say is that I was left speechless. If the footage I was shown truly is "in game", as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion.

I agree, the 7 page long NDA for home is the strictest NDA of all freakin time,
it might even say that if you give any specifics out, a monkey will come to your house, and kick your dog, and make you cry :cry:

But yeah,
I trust the BBC, so, maybe it does look good,
if it's KOTOR 3 or like GOW 3, it could just be the best game ever!

Best Game Ever is a matter of opinion.

For example; if I'd say that "JACKASS THE GAEM IS THE BEST GAME EVER U FUGIN NOLIFES WOWPLAYRZ

Now you would most likely reply that I am indeed very wrong and I should get banned for life.

And I feel that it's wrong to say already that it's the best game ever if we don't even know what's it even about.

BBC Reporters are hardly the sort of people you'd ask about games... it may look the best thing he's ever seen, but he's probably not played a game since the days of the Atari 800.

Its about as valuable an opinion as asking someone who doesn't drive what the best car ever is.

Saolin in my opinion is one of the most extreme fanboys on these boards. I'm sure I will enjoy Fable 2 but his thread last week is going to take some getting over! It will feel tainted now.

If it's all that secret, why are they showing it to reporters? And since when has BBC been a good source of information for gamers?

I like watching their 'click' show which looks at new gadgets but when they start going on about games, they sound like gaming is a new novelty that started last year and they only just discovered it last year along with the iPhone.

They're no better or worse really. They have lots of ex-bbc correspondents and vice-versa as they are based in London. They all sound like they dont know what they're talking about though when it comes to gaming.
