I really couldn't bring it down to two, so I'll do three: Gears of War - My first surprise of the gen. I didn't know what to expect, but it was brilliant. This game really opened my eyes to what the next gen could produce. Oblivion - The reason I bought a 360. I wasn't about to upgrade my pc to play one game, and I knew that the Halo series would be continued on the 360. Oblivion was well worth the investment, and I put in more than 300 hours on that game. Completely enthralling and possibly the most addictive and immersive game so far this generation. Halo 3 - What can I say? It's the game Halo 2 should have been. It rewarded the fans from back in the early days of Halo: Combat Evolved. It came through and was great. Of course there are always some let downs, Halo 3 delivered on almost every front for me. I agree with this guy, except I got bored of Oblivion after 100 hours. Fun for a while it lasted. I really enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy, Bioshock and COD4, as well.

I want to list Bioshock, but I can't.

I have to say first off say

Zack & Wiki. That game is filled with great thought involving puzzles, brilliant humor, or some creative gameplay that have any true game jumping all over for. Each zone you visit has it own unique feeling to it. Each character is lovable, and drawn out great. Definately accomplishment in gaming.

I have to say my second pick would also be one major release title on the very same platform.

Super Mario Galaxy. Execellent art style, and probably the best graphics on that particular system. Its hard to explain how truely wonderful this game is. You have some great usage of Wiimote, you have given so many different and unique planes to move about, and fun gameplay all wrapped in one package. This is just an excellent platformer.

Some other noted great games are Portal, Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, perhaps Folklore.

portal?why not add the real game...orange box

BioShock - It was great. Added a small twist to the FPS genre .You're given so many different ways to tackle a situation. The entire game is as creative as you want it to be. Story was good too; theAtmosphere nailed it. The entire feel of the game had me in deep.

Dead Rising - Didn't think it would be that good. I was wrong. Such a good 3rd person action game only a few flaws plagued it for me. The Small text didn't let me get the most out of the game, and stupid AI for survivors were the 2 only problems that really staggered it but it still kicked so much zombie ass. Still wanna get the laser sowrd though...

I'll go with three games.

Assassins Creed: the simple fact that you are playing as an assassin is so great, let alone the big open livingworld, the NPCs are alot, the atmosphere which make you all the time caution to not get caught, the big twist which make the story more complex and great, the climbing, the travelling from city to city, the music, everything gives you something new you didn't see before, the combat is so amazing and the AI is good also, this game is my GOTY btw.

Gears of war: the moment I turned on the game, I was at shock how the graphics was one of the best, the evolutionary cover system made this game one of the best shooters, the CO-OP campaign make it the perfect combination with the cover system, the intense, first time I met the berserker, made my adrenaline rise, it was one of the greatest games this gen.

Dead Rising: What can I say about this game? you are trapped in a mall, the mall is full of zombies and what make this game better than any other zombie game, the name Capcom is in it, the open environment make it alot of fun to play, the great amount of zombies make you scared, there are also psycho paths who are going to kill you, you have to know whats going on and you have to rescue survivors on the way, I love the last part which is rescuing, there is some injured people, some of them are security, some Japanese and you have to learn Japanese to speak to them, everyone of the NPCs are different and have different reactions when you come to rescue them, this game was freaking great.

I would be remiss to not mention Oblivion. I suppose that deserves a place in the top two. My next best would be... hm... Resistance or Call of Duty 4...

I'll need to meditate on that one.

Oblivion - my favourite game of the gen. Don't need to say much about it, just that it was EPIC.

Halo 3 - I haven't gone through all of the SP yet.(i just play it at my friends place), but once again the multiplayer is just awesome.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Amazing singleplayer experience, brilliant acting, gameplay is fun and intense, enemy and friendly A.I. are smart, graphics are stunning, and the story is starting to get a lot more interesting. However, I don't like how the grenade controls are and theexplosions are laughable.

Forza 2- Customization is endless, racing is addictive, brought me into the racing sim genre, and the cars handle very realistically. However, car damage isn't realistic and the car selection isn't as plentifulcompared toGT4.

#1 is, without a doubt, Forza Motorsport 2. I've had more fun with that game than any other this gen, and believe me, I've played quite a few.

#2 would be Oblivion, but I expect Mass Effect will knock it out.

STALKER- the atmosphere of that game is incredible, and the gameplay is top notch IMO, and the survival/horror elements were great. Crysis- Motherf**ker that game is good, and is 12-14 hrs long grrrrm...CoD4....grrrmm, I am amazed by this game, I bought it yesterday, and can't get enough of it. The graphics are great, the enemy AI is great, the physics are the best of any game I have played, the gunplay, especially with the aliens was so f**king fun, that I still can't stop cursing. The game exceeded up to my expectations. And this game will have a ton of mods, like HL2. To sum it up Crysis is the best game I have ever played.

I think gamers are different now, not like the old days, they are so picky with silly stuff, they "see" gameplay videos of a game then say, hey, "the AI "look"dumb", or "this game has alot of jaggies", or "I don't know the gender of the hero, how can I play this game" ( like it is a fact he doesn't know, it is obivious, fanboys).

The second problem is reviews, they take it too serious and judge games they didn't play, only from reviews.

The problem with gamers now, they don't see the game overall, how beautiful is the atmosphere or the gameplay system is being done.

My games has to be Super Mario Galaxy and Gears of War.

Super Mario Galaxy- In my opinion this game is one of the best games thatI have played. The gameplay is superb as it gives some easy bits then some levels could make you lose about 10 lives just trying to beat it. I also love the music, just hearing the breathtaking music and the remixes to some of the best Mario tunes is great. I thought the art style is very beautiful as there are so many galaxiesyou can explore.

Gears Of War- In my opinion this is the best 360 that i have played, the gameplay is great as it makes you think of what you have to do,as you can't just run and gun. Another reason that i like the game is that the music is great and the graphics were superb even though i'm a gameplay over graphics man, I still thought they were breathtaking.
