DS from that list. Demon's Souls is the best console game released so far this entire gen.

Best RPG series I've played is probably Pokemon and best action series I've played is probably Viewtiful Joe.

At first I was like

Diablo II + Lord of Destruction hands down

I love Demon souls(an RPG where the archer is finally not a **** cIass) , but

KH2 was my favorite game last gen (atcually tied for #1 with RE4)

Loved the seting, loved the characters, and above all else loved the combat system (reason I'm so excited about FF13vs)

Guys did you notice the topic? It says "Action RPG" so Diablo does not count.

The best ARPG would most definately be Mass Effect with Wither coming very close 2nd (only for the fact I didn't like Witcher 1 that much). If it was RPG, I'd most definitively vote Diablo (Huge fan of the series).

D&D style. I wouldn't call it action RPG. You know the " old school " stuff. We'll be wasting time if we'd be to categorize the games in to their genre. :o

It IS very hard to put DII in a genre, but DII is far more action based than something like Neverwinter Nights, which is more like D and D. Diablo is liek D and D put into an action game.

Matter of fact, on IGN's page it says "Genre: Third-Person Action RPG"

And GS for that matter.

Most definitely Diablo.

For me its a tie between The Witcher and Demons Souls. Mass Effect was great too, but not for its action RPG elements. I chose the Witcher in the end.
