And thanks to blu-ray it will be a PS3 exclusive.

John Woo's upcoming Stranglehold video game will deliver a one-two punch for the Sony PlayStation 3 when it is released this summer. In addition to the game, which continues the story of Inspector Tequila (Chow Yun-Fat), a PS3 collector's edition ($70) of the game will also include a full-length remastered high-def version of the 1992 film Hard Boiled, the Hong Kong action film starring the character.

PS3 games are stored on Blu-ray discs, which can hold up to 50 Gigabytes of video and game content. A new 15th anniversary DVD will be issued this summer, too - the DVD has been out of print for several years. The game will also be released for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Windows PCs.
USA Today

Sure beats the usual crappy PR videos on a disc. This is pretty cool too, they're releasing a beefed up HD-version and re-releasing the DVD because of the game.

The Legend of Zelda with Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and the demo of Windwaker :D

A Metroid collector's edition would rock.

The Blizzard Collector's Editions of most of their games are always phenomenal. The Warcraft 3 set came with this huge 80 page+ full color artbook, and all their cinematices (which are the best) rerendered to a DVD at higher quality.

Because they couldn't have just included a second bonus disc like they always do with the film on it?

I am really looking forward to the Halo 3 collectors edition because you actually get something you can physically hold. I know it is geeky but isn't that what collectors editions are all about?

A feature length HD movie wouldn't fit on a DVD. They need Blu-Ray for that at least.

That is ******* awesome. This game better be good though. I've already got Hard Boiled and The Killer on regular DVD (it was a ***** to find them), but a hi-def version would be worth the upgrade. I am willing to bet however, that most users on this site haven't seen Hard Boiled and therefore are much more excited about getting a retarded helmet with Halo 3 than this.

Ultima IX Dragon Edition featuring Akalabeth, Ultima, Ultima II, Ultima III, Ultima IV, Ultima V, Ultima VI, Ultima VII, Ultima VII Part 2, and Ultima VIII all on one disk with the soundtrack, tarot cards, a poster, an ankh necklace, and certificate. Then all of the stuff from the normal version.

The best Collector's Editions of games are always for MMOs. Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft put out great Collector's Editions.

Although now that I think about it, the Collector's Edition of Halo 3 is really cool.

The game is a sequel to the movie. Plus its very hard to find and an HD release only sweetens the deal.

All I'm seeing is ignorance. The game is supposed to be a sequel to the movie. It makes all kinds of sense to include it.

The Bioshock Limited Edition looks good but I can't find pictures yet because 2K didn't release Pictures yet they had members of there Forum enter in a competition to have there Artwork on the cover of the Limited Edition and 2K didn't post the winner yet, it comes with a Figuring of a "Big Daddy", a Making of DVD, and a Soundtrack to the Game. but The Halo 3 Legendary looks good but it is too expensive that is why I'm saying the Bioshock because it is only $10 more then the normal version.

Personally I think the Big Daddy figurine is stupid. It's just gonna lie in some drawer and be all figuriney. I want more practical stuff. An actual oldschool scuba suit would've been neat. Or a mini-sub.

In a poll about what they want in the Limited Edition I voted for Soundtrack but Big Daddy figurine won, but I would've just been happy with a Soundtrack and the game, also I don't think I would put the Figurine in a Drawer I would put in on my Bookshelf right next to my NES and Nintendo Wii.

It would've been best if they included System Shock 1 with the game, maybe even 2. Mind you, I don't think they have the rights to the series anymore, but it would've been damn awesome if it could've happened.

Well, technically Subsistence is a different release from Snake Eater... so the Limited Edition of Subsistence would be the Collector's Edition. :P

While it'd be a good thing if they were to release a blu-ray of Hard Boiled seperately for $25 for the people who aren't into games, that it is in fact included with the game is hardly a bad thing. It's an extremely nice extra. Or what exactly are you getting at? If it wasn't for the game you probably wouldn't get an HD version of the movie at all. What the hell does hype matter?
