lol @ all these console shooters this gen it's easily TF2 on PC but overall, Counter strike 1.6 and source are still the kings of competitive play, preferbly 1.6 for me

killzone 2, resistance 2, halo 3. call of duty 4 is good but its too easy for noobs to own online. it was my first console fps and i just picked it up and started owning. way too much frag spamming, and you get called a noob for pretty much everything. resistance, halo, and killzone take more skill.

Competitive wise: Halo 3 hand's down. The sheer amount of competition, championships, tournaments, and etc. that go with that game are simply incredible.
FUN wise: Team Fortress 2 on PC. If you only play this game on consoles, then you can't say anything. Sure it may not be as "badass" as Halo 3 but just how entertaining this game is with constant FREE updates and the like is amazing.
Halo 3 is a simple famous shooter, that's it. TF2 on the other hand puts team class based competition to a completely different level.

I honestly never found CoD4 as a game about skill. Basically whoever sees who first gets the kill. Unless you can't control your aim (you know who you are). Sure the game is fun but to say "I rape at that game" just makes me LOL sometimes.
If you want to test skill, play UT2K4.
You can have the jump on someone with a full clip of rockets, and they can and WILL kill YOU.. with a flak cannon :lol:

And if the product they are advertising is Soda or fast food or something, then they would be hitting the perfect demographic :D
Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Halo 3, or Call of Duty 4 are the only ones that should be disgussed. I am going with Resistance 2, because of the massive 60 players online. However, by the end of the year, MAG could easily hold this title
Killzone 2 because of the amazing graphics in the online play is one reason. The game itslef had awesome graphics, and to have the same amazing graphics when 32 people are playing online together in a hectic maelstorm of bullets and explosions is pretty nice. plus the realistic gameplay and customizable classes
