Hey, I've been thinking about buying a console and I was wondering out of the PS3 and 360 which is better fot shooters? I've looked around and the 360 has better past shooters, but I haven't seen any more exclusove shooters coming to it other than Gears 2. The PS3 on the otherhand has Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 coming up. Any advice?
360 is better if u want shooters. Gears 2 will be one of the best shooters this year. But its got alot better shooters at the moment aswell. And the halo expansio could end up being really awsum aswell.
the 360's anologue sticks are a bit better for fps games. Then again, you should play rainbow six vegas on both consoles and see how you feel. Handling fps games with the ps3 anlogue sticks is still too floppy

I don't know. For FPS shooters I prefer the dual triggers for the PS3. Throwing grenades w/ R2 & shooting em up w/ R1 is really nice. Plus Resistance 2 will be a great exclusive FPS. Insomniac always delivers with those beasts. + play online against 60 & online co-op w/ eight friends or strangers, W/ quick entry & exit. The game will be of great value. The campaign should be tight. There will be tons of shooters to hit PS3. Either way which ever way you go, you should get Far Cry2 this year.

You stand up to what is right in gaming even then you say ps3 is better for shooters??.The highest rated shootes halo3 and geow are not on ps3.Ps3 controller is generally agreed to suck for shooters.Am not saying 360>ps3 but for shooters puleazee there is no competition

Um did I say the PS3 is BETTER for shooters? lol I said the PS3 has great shooters coming up....Where is the resemblance. Halo 3 = Over rated as a Single Player game. Gears of War is good though. But yeah, let's just see what happens between Resistance 2 & Gears of War 2 ;) Besides gamers tend to have a solely different review score than that of GS. :P I mean, by all means keep advertising this guy to get a 360. That's what you really want :P Of course I never said 360's controls
The XBox 360 controller is pretty much made for the shooting genre because of the placement of the analog stick and don't forget how awesome the shoulder triggers are. At this moment it has the better lineup of shooters, but the PS3 has good one coming up. So if you are interested in those then maybe give those a try before you make your purchased.
if you're talking bout first person shooter the 360 has the upper hand, but if ur talking about shooters generally ie including 3rd person, stealth shooter, ps3 and 360 are both equal.
