I have a Nintendo 64 but I wouldn't dare say its the best console in history.

Here's a flaw I have with Nintendo 64, its games aren't are not arcade perfect. Play Killer Instinct Gold, then play KI2 and see the difference.

I remember when Midway, Rare, and Nintendo were working on the first Killer Instinct and the then Ultra 64, they were talking how the hardware of system will be able to run the arcade perfectly. Well KI Gold is falls short of that hype.

SNES or N64.

Both were amazing. The sheer number of Clasics on the SNES gives it the advantage IMO.

Plus a ton of franchises that we still have today were born on the SNES.

that was the hole point of my post.

They both have so many good games that listing like 4 or 5 doesnt' prove anything. I could list games for everyone of those games you listed from the SNES. Thanks for getting the message.

Playing the original resident evil for the 1st time was the best gaming experiance I ever had. its a shame what the series has turned into.

Its let down by its hardware though, next year I could pull out my snes and chances are exceptionally high it will still work after all this time, who knows if my 360 will.

Edit: oh I forgot lol mine is Playstion (the first and best one).

I've been gaming since the PS1 days when I was about 6 or so. I've had an N64 ,PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube, XBOX, PS3, Wii, and XBOX 360 and the best of all of them ever, IMHO is the XBOX 360. When it comes to hardware reliability there's nothing worse, I'm about to send my 360 in for repair for the second time. But if you're talking just pure fun and amazing software, I'm saying XBOX 360.

In terms of how long I played them, I would say:

360 > PS2 > Xbox > Dreamcast > NES > Genesis > and then the others. I have owned many home consoles (Intellivision, NES, Genesis, SNES, 32X, Sega CD, N64, Saturn, PSOne, PS2, Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3) but those are the ones I have played the most on, and those are all home to some of my favorite games ever.

In what I think was the best system ever? I would go with either the NES or the PS2 for how much both helped gaming grow and become more acceptable to a larger audience.

PS1, nothing else come close, maybe PS2 only is a close second.

Anyway I'll have to go with Sega Mega Drive since it was my 1st console and I absolutely loved it due to games like Golden Axe, Sonic, Shinobi & Streets of rage.
