FF7, MGS, RE2, GT, Syphon Filter, Crash Bandicoot, Sypro,... kill every other console. PS1 is godlike, nothing comes close to this.

your completely wrongconsidering sm64 is by some considered the best mario game ever.oot is considered the best game ever by many.goldeneye is considered one of the best console fps ever along with perfect dark.mario kart was on of the best racers ever.and dont forget how big super smash is now.i would take great games over many good games
Personally, I would choose the NES. It was my first console and I would play it all of the time. Mario1, 2, 3, Master Blaster, Zelda, Treasure Island, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon 1,2, Duck Hunt, Megaman, Contra1, 2.
Number one..PS2 obviously! Number 2...NES, which got me started in to games. IMO, both ushered in big changes as to how games were received in homes with varieties to boot.

Sorry but the Ps1 had as much of what I call excellent games as the N64 PLUS the Ps1 got quantity which the N64 lacks, that what made the N64 fail in sales.
I'd say SNES, but i'm partial as that was the first one I had in the house.
Next is PSone. Again, kind of partial. It was the second console I had in the house.
I like to think I have amazing taste. The PSone line-up was sweet though and is a close second.
I guess it was just the time, but I had PS2 through it's entire cycle pretty much and I can't think of a series that started on the console that has stuck with me.
the snes and nes were awesome too, but i was too young for the first few years of the snes, and wasnt alive at all for all but the last major year of the nes
