i have both and have been playing since their launches..and am not a fan of any console..just a game fan..honestly i would go for the 360's...interms of design, build, ease of playing..

this ones different tho, it looks nicer, feels better, recharges automatically, it truly is the greatest controller in history. so you really do need to have a ps3.Well, i dont need to have a PS3 to conclude that i prefer the 360´s one. I played games on a dualchock for about 10 years on my PS1 and PS2.

Oh, i forgot to say. I also play PS3 at least once a week at my friends. Yeah, i really prefer 360´s controller
I've never really liked the Sony style controller. For me, it was always the worst 1st party controller that gen unless the Atari Jaguar came out during the PS1 era. I can play games with it and do well, but I've never preferred it over what other systems had.
Plus the whole shapes thing was silly to me when it first came out. It makes things difficult for no reason other than to be different. Aren't they like the only standard controller since the NES that isn't based around letter buttons?
if your looking for an Unbiased post, i would say the PS3 controller.jim_bojoneshmmm. not sure your that unbiased, looking at your reasons AC2 was BETTER on the PS2 "hardware reliability - future purposes. blu-ray disc - longer lasting. Graphic Depth - Looks more 3D IMO on the PS3 alone with many others."
[QUOTE="jim_bojones"]also i dont like changing batteries every day for the 360 controller.wayne_karget some better batteries then. i get a good week out of my 2700mAh ones. with a set on charge so their NO downtime
Better get this.....Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit Black
well I'm probably one of the few people who actually get's finger cramp from the 360 controller, i think it's the plastic bit's that stick down from the trigger buttons, and it pushes against my middle finger. i prefer the feel of the controller over the ps3 but if they just put little groves in the plastic bit's i would find it a great controller. it also needs a small design change with the a,b,x,y buttons as they feel too spongy, the r1/l1 buttons are a bit small on the 360 controller too.
the ps3 controller I'm used to from the past, the ps3 needs the sticks to be a little bit firmer, and the d pad I'd prefer to be more classic Nintendo style, and the trigger r2/l2 are lame they need to be more like the 360's.
i like both though, but if i had to pick one I'd pick 360 controller.

I prefer the ps3 controller for RPG's, its a more laid back controller, but its not asc omfortable as the 360 pad, and i have smallish hands. The triggers on the ps3 pad are terrible and the 360's are great The d-pad on the 360 pad is rubbish and the ps3's is great the analouges on the pads depend on what game you are playingi have both and have been playing since their launches..and am not a fan of any console..just a game fan..honestly i would go for the 360's...interms of design, build, ease of playing..

I prefer the 360 controller for shooters, the PS3 controller for everything else. Neither is better, both have their flaws and strong points, its all a matter of preference. /threadKukicAdoBasically this.. I have to agree.
360's, it's sturdy better for shooters, and heavy to the hand. And it also fits my hands better.
PS3 controller is too flimsy, Sony should really look into getting stronger polymer for these things, I can shift the top from the bottom with a twist and that's not good. I dropped it also, and the left rumble shuck will not work anymore, or it's very weak. It's better for fighters though.
When it comes to genre's like driving , action, sandbox games, puzzle, RPG's, it really doesn't matter, since those all rely on the placement of function and are more loose. When it comes to shooters , playing them on ps3 feels cheap, playing them on 360 is better because it feels made for it. Fighters on the 360 aren't bad, but they are waaaaaaaaaaay better on 360.

IDK about you but I abuse my DS3 and I mean abuse like biting it twisting it and so forth and it still works fine. I prefer the DS3 for all my games, but the L2/R2 triggers arekinda iffy at times.360's has an awful dpad. Im also not a fan of the 360 bumpers. They are ok I just dont like how it feels compared to L1/R1. In the endI can switch between both in a heartbeat and not notice a huge difference. Its all just preference.

also i dont like changing batteries every day for the 360 controller.jim_bojonesWho the hell do you think you're kidding by pretending to own a 360?
For hardware, ease of use, extra things FOR FREE...I choose my PS3.
For controller (minus having to BUY that recharge battery pack) I choose 360. Along with some impressive console exclusives. Though PS does have a lot of great exclusives as well.
i use the d-pad for 0 games, and i have a 32000 gamerscoreIt is not even a close race. The 360 controller is one of the best ever. If Msoft actually cared about the dpad and gave us a decent one it would be the best ever.

i prefer the 360 and nothing has showcased the difference to me more than having to use the ds3 for the bfbc2 beta.... it's not that the ds3 is a bad controller because it's not, it's just that the 360 controller was made for that kind of stuff
i have almost sworn off any more bfbc2 beta until it comes out on the 360, i guess i will play the beta a bit here and there because i want to get a leg up on the competition by practicing the uav and vehicles but other than that the ds3 is the deal breaker on me wanting to goof around with the beta

Yeah, I agree also. Like was mentioned before the triggers are nice to have on the 360 controller and the superior d-pad is nice to have on the DS3. Really it is just preference and I didn't really feel a big difference withe either stick. I do like the feel of the DS3 as it isn't as clunky as the XBOX one though really that is just my preference.
I don't personally own a 360 but my brother does. I, on the other hand, own a ps3.
Anyway, the 360 controller is definitely more comfortable than the DS3 for sure, but I have to give it to the DS3, simply because it preforms better and is much more responsive than the formerthanks to it pressure sensitive buttons and minimaldeadzone in the sticks.
Finally, here's an article on this subject thatI tend to post whenever a thread like this comes up. It's an interesting read.http://gamer.blorge.com/2008/11/22/analysis-ps3-vs-xbox-360-controller-comparison/
