The best dev this gen?

Why is Naughty Dog up there. They made one game and so did Kojima and in reality Valve. I haven't really been impressed buyt Crytek did a decent job. Far Cry wasn't THAT abd and Crysis/Warhead are great games
Capcom. A couple misses, but for the most part top tier titles and the creation of two great new IPs in Dead Rising and Lost Planet.
Nintendo, obviously.
Ubisoft:lol::|
CAPCOM have been excellent, Dead Rising, RE5, SF4, Lost Planet etc.

Konami/Kojima? Come on now....
PS3_3DO
Yeah but they only have one game out on current gen hardware. All the ones I listed have at least two games out or going to have at least two by end of this year.
Pro Evo? Silent Hill? Yes, they aren't great, but Konami have released more than one game.[QUOTE="PS3_3DO"]

Crytek for created the most evolved form of the FPS genre, Crysis.
GSC Gameworld, STALKER is one of the most atmospheric games ever made.
[QUOTE="SF_KiLLaMaN"]Criterion or DICE. amazing support for their games. most of it free too.PS3_3DO
Yeah I should have put EA on that list. Too bad you can't have ten options.
then take out ubi soft and add EAi dont think this thread should of had a poll there are too many options.

I think Ubisoft is doing better than EA for more creative projects this gen.
How the hell is Nintendo second. They keep making the same game and just change the level design. Nintendo stopped trying after the 64
and Microsoft isn't? we will be going on the 5th halo next year. Nintendo makes great game, although there are not many new IPs, the ones they have now are fine and good. How the hell is Nintendo second. 5 Halo's in 9 years isn't bad. I know on the internet Halo is an abomination and one deserves to be executed for playing it, but atleast Halo games are quality titles. Also ODST and Reach will be new experiences, whether people want to accept that or not doesn't matter.
I'll take 5 Halo's in 9 years over 5 GuitarHeros/RockBands in 1 year. (Unless it's a dumbed down game like Halo 3)
[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"][QUOTE="pyromaniac223"] And Half Life 2 Episode 2, a great addition to one of the best FPS ever. And TF2, arguably the best multiplayer game ever. And Left 4 Dead, a really fun and addictive coop shooter. Naughty Dog is good, but this gen they've only done Uncharted 1, which, while great, doesn't live up to TF2.pyromaniac223TF2 is actually pretty lame IMO. I would take Halo3 over TF2 anyday of the week :? Okay. Opinions are always fine. But the point is that it's an impeccably crafted multiplayer game with tons of strategy and depth to it that is hard to find in other shooters. It's a testament to Valve's skill and support for its games after release. I would have said valve if it wasn't for these. Completly ignored an entire community and did the DWP "dynamic weapons pricing" update to CS Source, at least they were smart enough to not bothger trying again after it failed hard due to bugs. Allowed the release of shoddy ports of some fantastic games (orange box on consoles), considering the calibre of games these are Valve should have made dam sure they were up to par for release, TF2 on PC is EPIC!, TF2 on consoles is just not (same with HL2, EP1, EP2 etc) Announced L4D2 so soon after L4D1. Completly ignored an entire system (PS3). Due to these and quite a few other reasons they are far from the best devs this gen, the main thing i notice though is Valve fans seem to forget all the mistakes they make and only remember the good things.
[QUOTE="pyromaniac223"][QUOTE="Solid_Tango"]Naughty dog for me. Why so many people care about valve, the only good this gen from them is Portal :DII_Seraphim_IIAnd Half Life 2 Episode 2, a great addition to one of the best FPS ever.
