What is the best console ever made in your opinion.
My vote goes to PS2, how about you?

My personal favorite was the Gamecube, but, then again, it was the console that dragged me away from being a mainly PC gamer...
Metroid Prime (1 and 2), Pikmin (1 and 2), RE4, SSBM, Tales of Symphonia, Windwaker, and a few others kept me happy for a loooooong time.

Gamecube? WTF? lol, ok whatever. Your opinion. It's just funny that's all. Actually no...Funny would be someone saying the Wii.

I loved that little purple cube. It's unique charme drew me away from my beloved PC (well, actually it was my brother's PC) and into the world of console gaming. Though I would have liked it if I were capable of having a decent PC of my own, I am quite content with my choice of getting a Gamecube (got it the day after launch and it's still working-heck, I even still have the launch controllers!).
Just remember these words: your mileage may vary :)
Ah, if only everyone here adopted that catchphrase...

Did you ever own an N64? snes?
1) Dreamcast
2) PS2
3) PS1
The PS1 actually had the best RPGs in my opinion but at the time I was playing my Genesis and had little money to afford all the great games it had. I still recognize it was a console with great quantity/quality games though.
I guess you never heard of an Xbox 360...PS3... Yes i sound like a fan boy but i like my Next Gen games and the great online....
Wave360
No one voted for NES? You noobs must all still be kiddies. Nes brought in the start of countless franchises...Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Metal Gear, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, etc. NoLimitJay1
SNES was better....Fzero, PilotWings, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Mario Kart, ActRaiser, StarFox, Earthbound.
Link to the Past >>> 1st Legend of Zelda
Super Metroid >>> Metroid
FF III (VI in Japan) >>> than the 1st Final Fantasy

I agree on the Zelda, but not by much. LoZ was THE game in its game. Disagree on Super Metroid. It was awesome but too easy.
Secret of Mana was awesome too. But I can name more and more Nes games...Tyson's Punchout, Dr. Mario, Dragonquest (forgot about that one), Contra, Kid Icarus,
Whatever. They were both awesome systems.
N64 was the golden era of gaming for me
Xbox 360 and its online gaming is a very close second
The dreamcast gets a mention as well
