The only way for there to be the best game is if there was only one genre in gaming like RPG or shooter.SparkyProtocol

Why? i dont understand this logic about games from differnt genres cant be compared that every one here seems to use.

I have played a lot of great games and none have been that revolutionary best game ever experience. A lot have been really, really great, but never perfect. If I had to pick, it would go to Super Mario Galaxy, Halo, SSBB, or Twilight Princess.

Why not say "a gta game", what if i like san Andres more (this is just an example, i've never played a gta game) I'd say a Mario game as its between super mario 64 and super mario galaxy for me, both were amazing and magical experiances.

its hard to say what is the "best game ever", for me the best game in recent years is MGS4, but there have been too many awesome games over the years to name one as the best ever.

Theres a ton of games.

Diablo II, Pokemon RPGs,Ocarina of Time, several Final Fantasies, Super Mario 64, Fallout games, DOOM...I missed about 40, just the ones that came to mind.

Grand Theft Auto IV shouldn't get 10/10 and be considerated as one of the best games ever. The game has amazing animations and details, but it's not half as fun as Vice City or GTA III. It has the worse missions and the worse cast of "mission givers" of all the 3D series.

The best game ever is Ultima VII: The Black Gate. No RPG will ever surpass this one from 1992.
