Best Games Nobody knows about

Should have bought The Complete Journey package. It contains all 3 games from the trilogy plus extra features in them. The trilogy gets better with every game.

@Renegade_Fury: well one reason I can see it not being the best is because it has an easy counter stop... which pretty much kills all replayability once you've nabbed it on a 1CC. but to each their own :P

Sure, but for a thread meant about games that go way the **** under the radar and all that jazz, we're talking about the poster child for 2d beat-em ups. If you're a gaming enthusiast you know what Streets of Rage is. I mean **** that soundtrack is so goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

Best game ever made for the whole family to play and have a blast... ..Evah.

Unfortunately not from a past generation and also not released yet but I'm looking forward to Aztez. Looks like a fun brawler and it's coming to lol Vita too!

Project Nomads

A very cool RTS-TPS mix about traveling on a floating island, likes of which i've not seen since.

Not unknown really. The game was an instant classic if you were on PC back then. Like all the older games by Epic, they were worth it even if just for the soundtrack.

Seems like a lot of retro games, maybe especially on DOS, would fit the bill.

A couple of console classics that I never really hear people talking about (unless of course you go to a "best gems of platform ___" list, where this type of topic falls apart) would be Landstalker and Shadowrun for Genesis. Zelda clone with added features and a really surprisingly true-to-the-source-material cyberpunk RPG.

I can't remember the last time I wanted a game that much. But that's quite a hefty price tag for something like that. Anybody playing and recommending it?

Have you read that dude's blogs? That man knows his beat-em ups. bought this game called Aces Wild on his recommendation, took a while to grasp, but the game is all types of badass.
