Best graphics at the moment?

IMO, it is good enough to be mentioned. Even Gamespot thinks so:

"Outstanding Visual Design"

"Technically Proficient Graphics"

I really struggled to get into the Darkness but it's impossible to deny it was a great looking game.Crysis despite the ever growing hate-bandwagon it has been building over the last few months would be my choice. That or Bioshock, the overallenvironmet design in that game is amazing.

I bet most people here hate Crysis because its a PC exclusive, if it is a 360 or PS3 exclusive, they will probably say Crysis

Or they hate Far Cry because they suck at it

Anyway, I've got to go with Bioshock (if we're only counting released games). It may not be the most technically advanced game, but the excellent artstyle and environments definitely make up for it.

Well...ugh.. It's not really fair if you shrink the image that small so that nothing is noticeable...

When I go in the garden it looks pretty neat now.

I have added new plants and a pond, the water effects and flowing is amazing in my pond esp, with the waterfall added.

The physics are so advanced I could kick my gnome and it goes over the bloody fence and smashes a window!

I love how when I go out stabbing people they react in such a amazing way, like there actually dieing as blood squirts all in my eye. I cant even see thats advanced fkin advanced man

Well Motorstorm was made to be a racing game. Rage is an open world type game. I'm not so impressed by the race sequence, but more from the shop keep.

*shakes head* no it nots, the lighting system isn't even completely dynamic...

Crysis is just technologically advanced. It has very little ary direction; it's just a big (or small) island, rendered as realistically as possible. This isn't "Best"; I mean, Far Cry looked great when it came out, but now, 3 years laterthe graphics look washed out and jarring, even at highest. Crysis might look great now, but give it 5 years and you won't want to look at it again. Comparitively, games that looked "right", instead of "realistic", like Super Mario Bros., FFVII, and more recently HL2 still look good, and more importantly feel good today. That's what I think should be meant by "good graphics, not "as realistic as possible", but "feels nice/real".

I would say the best games recently out would be Oblivion and Bioshock, while the game with the best graphics would belong to FFXIII.

I find that hilarious coming from a Killzone 2 avatar ... but then again I have a Crysis avatar :P

Theres nothing Gritty about Crysis, its looks absolutely amazing, and so does the Alien Spaceship inside.

Note that I'm asking about "best", not "most technologically advanced". "Most technologically advanced" is obviously something like Crysis or MGS4, but neither of these games are particularly beautiful. They're too gritty and "real life".

At the moment I think it would be Far Cry 2, or mabye Mass Effect.
