best graphix console decided by gamespot...no more debating lol

ok so lets get this over and done with for the time being untill the next big game comes out

so if a great dev (interms of graphix) makes a game (Crysis 2) and gamespot (we r using them since this is their website and thats what counts here) says themselves "on 360 crysis 2 is console graphix king" but later also says "crysis 2 is NOT in the league of killzone 3" this is 100% enough to say ps3 IS the console graphix king right? basically crysis 2 is better looking than any other game on 360 but kz3 looks better than that..therefore kz3/ps3 is graphix king. Personally using exclusives to compare what consoles can do makes more sense, but if u wana use multiplats then this can work too...

and yes i know some people say ps3 version of crysis 2 looks worse...whatev.. but what about this, if u go to the lenseofproof.com they have 2 comaprisons, one showing that ps3 version of crysis 2 actaully looks better and another showing kz3 graphix r better than crysis 2

seems pretty simple to me...just saying lol

except that graphics are purely technical and gamespot saying what game looks best would prove nothing. sites like DF that will do in depth technical comparisons would tell you, not a bunch of journalists. A few posters on system wars look at all the technical aspects and make in depth comparisons but the majority just shout opinions.

and, i will never understand why graphics are the most coveted thing on this site and many others.

Unfortunately, even though articles are submitted through editors, there is gonne be a divergence from what a site has stated in the past. Having numerous writers means having numerous opinions.

My favorite this gen would be Final Fantasy XIII. If you take in art style and graphics it truly is the best looking console game. Crysis 2, Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3 are all great but Final Fantasy is draw dropping. The environments and characters are like nothing I have ever seen. I am even playing it on the 360 and I heard its even better on the PS3 side.TheColbert

the ps3 version runs at a much higher resolution, has lossless audio and uncompressed 1080p cgi cutscenes.

nice to c some mature response to this topic, thanx guys! personally i think kz2 looks better in some ways than kz3, and uncharted 2 is amazing too! and yeah ff13 is up there, still got to finish that onewinner-ps3

that's not really an opinion, it's true. killzone 2 has very high quality per object motion blur that is absent from killzone 3, and uses higher quality anti alaising for a couple examples. killzone 2 and 3 are pretty much exactly the same technically, the only reason killzone 3 looks better is from removing things and making compromises. what looks better out of those 2 is purely opinion, personally I think killzone 3 looks better.

Killzone 3 better graphics then crysis 2 was posted before Crysis 2 console graphics king...so the more recent data is prefered...so your wrong.

Cool enough - if this included all systems, fine. However, the topic clearly specified it was comparing console graphics, not the PC's (yes, which we all know is superior). Why PC gamers have to get into every console topic to post "Hey, we have better graphics than you!" just comes across as downright annoying.

I have a feeling TC would be saying Crysis 2 looks better if KZ3 was a MO and Crysis 2 was a PS3 exclusive. millerlight89

if you look at the two killzone games and crysis 2 (on the 360) closely, you'll see that they're pretty much equal. both have equal texture quality, have the same modeling structure (similar polygon count with box-like structured buildings) use similar effects, ect. the differences being, crysis 2 has a more impressive scale but has framerate dips and object pop up because of it. and crysis 2 has a more advanced lighting tecnique but runs in a bit lower resolution to compensate for that.

uncharted 2 and gow 3 are the console graphics kings for having the best texture and image quality as well as having the best performance. However all of these games are quite close and are not worth the debating that occurs.

To me the ps3 is overrated, the fact that most Multiplait games look better on the 360 speaks alot to me, I think the sony exclusives go way out of there way to make the game look as perfect as possible, over all I think they are about the same, the differences are to small to bicker over, if you guys care so much about graphics get a pc.

Well TC just said "its in the video" so...

I got news for you TC, there is no such thing as CGK. Just another made up term in SW so pepole can feel better about their purchases.

Well, Gamespot is the only site to say that, every single other one, like 100 reviews, state Crysis 2 is better looking than anything on PS3

Well for me it is C2>U2>Gow3>KZ2/3. That won't change until UC3, GeOW 3, or rage.

Its only slightly better on PS3. But I thought the game was ugly in everything but character models and such.

I don't know why people are letting websites decide things like this for them, both people who want Killzone 3 to be a "CGK" and the people who want Crysis 2 to be the new "CGK".

I have both games and KZ3 def looks better. Period.

This. He wasn't talking about graphics in the video review. Though he did post in the sticky thread about it.

If someone says "console graphics king" then it means exactly that (well in their opinion), "console-graphics-king", if someone says another console game looks better then he're simply contradicting himself and both of that person's statements are void. If someone listening to such person decides that one statement invalidates the other but not the other way around, that person is showing bias by choosing an arbitrary statement to void the other when it works both ways.
