I'm sorry, but I don't see the kiddie=>not handheld correlation. Because the DS is on its way to being the highest selling handheld (and maybe even console) ever, there are seemingly many millions that disagree. My only logic for my opinion is that I'm not a big fan of the games on the PSP. Dismissing the DS as a handheld is...a bit drastic.

I fully admit that I went off-topic, I apologize. PW looks really good, I've always been a big fan of the series. But there's really no "best" game, only favorites. Mine would be TWEWY.

As for the psp ... it is the only non nintendo handheld to ever have succsess. NInty has years of exp. and tons of blind loyal fans who will never give the psp a chance. Not to mention all the parents who buy their kids ds's because their cheaper and more kid friendly. (just look at the other larger half of the ds library.. that people here tend to ignore... nintendogs, barbie horse adventures, animal crossing, edumacation games... etc... parents eat that stuff up for their kids) (waiting for angry animal crossing fan to flame me...lol) It's no wonder the ds sells more. It's common sense. But you guys got to admit the psp has some great games and the graphics are great along with the media functionality and ps1 support. I love both consoles but will be a stark psp defender on here as it doesn't get enough love.

I actually was just playing Socom on my PSP 5 minutes ago. There's nothing to hate about the PSP, at least not for me. Only reason I'm not playing Peace Walker is because I've never played MGS. I did buy the original for PS1 not too long ago because I wanted to get into the series, and played that for a little bit, and then got MGS2 for my PS2. I don't hate Playstation or the series

GTA ctw was a reason that before I wanted to get a ds and then it went multiplat because ds owners don't like hardcore games.

It's not the best, not even close. It's good, but pales in comparison to several titles.

I'm a DS owner and I love games like Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest V, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Chrono Trigger, the three DS Castlevania titles, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, The World Ends With You, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Pokemon Diamond, Final Fantasy Tactics, New Super Mario Brothers, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Zelda Spirit Tracks, Dementium: The Ward, Mega Man ZX, Mega Man: ZX Advent, Contra 4, Glory of Heracles, and Exit DS

Are you honestly going to tell me that none of those games are aimed at hardcore gamers? You're free to your own tastes in games, and if none of those appeal to you, then that's your choice.

I personally think Phoenix Wright or Pokemon is....China Town was also very good...for either the DS or PSP version. There is not difference between the 2.
