Yeah maybe. Much better diversity in Mass Effect combined with decent lip-sync gives it the edge over anything else for me (although I am playing on PC not console, can't see it being a million miles away).

In terms of straight up models, you really can't debate fight night. They are pretty mmuch the only high-res things on the screen most of the time, but the character models are fantastic.

Solid Snake is the best looking character model for console period. If u have played the game u will see just how real life he looks especially when his hair is like moving around. Best looking game character ive seen to date on any console. He looks so good that u can even compare his character model to crysis character models.

Some characters look really good, mass effect may not look as sharp but the models are a lot more consistant.

Killzone 2 has very good models. They look real and not plastic and shiny like in Halo 3 for an example.

Nothing beats Fight Night round 3 to be honest, it's probably has the most realistic looking character models this gen.

But if we are just judging by artst*yle than i could say that MGS can win there,

Well considering Crysis Warhead will be able to run on older pcs..no it wouldent take a supercomputer..a 800-1000 dollar pc could run it on high..

Not that much. A pc with a high end dual core or even a E8400, 2 gig of ddr2 and a GTX280 would max it. A friedn of mine recent got a similar system with the GTX260, and at 1440x900, he maxes crysis. It cost him £450 (excluding vista) to build his system.

MGS is great and it certainly have bether art*style but as i said,tehnicaly its not really on par

I wouldnt even mention Crysis,because i know how boring it became when someoen say "Crysis" but well :P

MGS4 has some great looking character models, not just snake himself but the rest of the cast are well done aswell.

Dude those aint even in game pics man. I can do the same thing with MGS4 showing some facial models that look just as good. I am not saying MGS4 as a whole look better then crysis, I said the character models on MGS4 look just as good. Here are MGS4 facial models and they look just as good.

Afterall, mgs looks nice, but nowhere near crysis , and pics i posted are even bether ingame with nice camera angles, and whoever posted mgs 4 "faces" and said they look as good as crysis ones - well i hope he isnt serious

IMO MGS4 doesn't have a rival on consoles in neither artistic or tehnical departments, though on PC you can really get the best out of a game and depending on your budget Crysis can be a really gorgeous game or a really ugly one.

Its very simplistic, great artwork texture and specualr mapping, thats it! No advanced sahders nor mapping etc. Its on par with last-gen even last-last-gen tech used for faces. See Silent Hill series games for similar techwise faces.

This is 3 years old game,but it still stands test of time

And even older game (from 2004)

Look how 4 year old model from Far Cry use similar tehniques like MGS 4

Similar shading etc. Ofc MGS 4 is more advanced , but this is just to show you how those 3-4 years old PC games can easily stand vs todays "console graphic kings"

You truly must be a MGS fanboy if you think MGS4 has best character models. There are tons of games which have better character models on consoles, some provided in this thread like Fight Night 3, Mass Effect, Gears of war, Uncharted etc. When talking about pc almost every game blasts MGS4 outta the water. MGS4 char models really look average. Hell even KZ2 has better character models then MGS4.acekall

Mass Effect trumphs MGS4 by a fair amount.
