This thread requires a gif of the gas canisters in Hard Reset--the ones in the gas tanks that when you shot them they released pressure, flew around, and eventually exploded.

Not really the most realistic, but Borderlands 2 with Physx has some really neat looking explosions and effects going on. My favorite are the implosion grenades that suck up all the debris/fluids/cloth in the area before detonating and blasting it everywhere.

It's stuff like this that makes me shake my head whenever people complain about physx being useless and stupid. People might not like that it's proprietary (although c'mon, Nvidia did plop down quite a bit of cash to buy up Ageia), but I don't get how people can deny it's badass.

Well there's your problem (or mine) I don't use Fraps. I just know it can record and make videos because I've watched people talk about their recording tech for gameplay footage and most of the time they mention Fraps as being a fairly reliable software.

I wouldn't complain if it was implemented properly and not half assed attempts that impact the performance by 50% or more.

I tought Far Cry 3 explosions were pretty good.
