They're much better on the 360. There's more foliage, better lighting, smoother shadows, more shadows and less pop-in with the vegetation.I wasn't impressed by RDR's graphics when I rented it for PS3. Should I get it for the 360?

Seriously, Red Dead: Redemption made my jaw drop more so than Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 combined. Proof that a lush landscape and inspired art direction always trumps generic and industrial landscapes with a microscopic palette. THE_MATRlX
So, you have a PS3 and uncharted 2+Killzone 2?

Ok I'll check it out. When I first played the game it seriously looked like a PS2 game. I did go "" on a few occasions when I rode around on my horse and saw the landscapes though.

You do not have to own either of those games to get a sense of their graphics. From what I've played and from reviews I'd say now It's GOW3,
and it's looks to be overtaken this year when GT5 releases.

I you don't own the game played in propor res and with proper HD, you aren't likely to be able to grasp the full depth of what the games have to offer on any critical level-and he is trying to cretique graphics.
anyway are you trying to pre-emtively defend him if he dosen't own the console andgames he's talking about? If so, why?

I don't own neither the console nor the games. But I have played them, playing through a few missions of Killzone 2 and getting up to around the 15th or 14th mission (I cant remember, its the one with the train wreck) at a friends house.[QUOTE="Final_attack321"][QUOTE="millerlight89"] You do not have to own either of those games to get a sense of their graphics. So...I basically made a "Console Graphics King" thread and got away with it.... :DTHE_MATRlXAlmost... someone did mention crysis but stayed within the boundaries of a console by saying it was on Iphone, so its acceptable i guess. And the only decent graphical game i've played is U2... GOW3 does look amazing on the youtube vids i've seen, also Halo Reach aint too bad either although it wasn't created for pure graphics so meh... U2 the snow effects were pretty nice, best snow effects i've seen anyway but GT5 may look even better than these games but content > graphics so who knows... maybe only the premium cars will look as good as they say but oh boy i cannot wait for GT5.
So...I basically made a "Console Graphics King" thread and got away with it.... :DTHE_MATRlXIt was obvious from the topic title. I don't see how this topic never gets old though. It's clear consolites care way too much about graphics considering how many successful console gfx king threads are made every week.

And I'm not really saying your opinion is wrong, (I haven't played RDR myself) but if you come to others trying to establish a fact only using your opinion with limited access to the product your talking about it comes off as weak.
BTW: are there any reviews and or articles posted after the game released that nominate it as the best looking game on consoles to help validate your opinion?

Limited access? Most people don't play through Uncharted 2's campaign after they've finished it. I played through most of it, and I think that's more than enough. Yes, I've only blasted through four or five "levels" of Killzone 2 (including the last mission) and from what I've heard, there's not too much that I missed (graphics wise). An opinion is an opinion. I don't need the confirmation of game reviewers from any publication to formulate my opinion. You also seem to have forgotten how there have been other people who have nominated Red Dead as one of the best looking games on consoles and how it has been said time after time after time after time before in other threads. You just won the thread :DMy personal favorite is Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

Always good to see someone notice how great the game looks.
So Forza 3 doesn't look better than GoW3 though? I'm confused as to how those genres are compared. From what I've played and from reviews I'd say now It's GOW3,
and it's looks to be overtaken this year when GT5 releases.

Uncharted 2. Next year we'll see some real competition for best console graphics.FlamesOfGreyI wonder what the next generation of games will look like graphically...
