Best Main Character?

I picked snake, i like the HL series a little more then MGS, but you cant really pick gordan as a character, he is only a name to us, he has no character since we basically reflect him.

Snake is a great character, he had his ups and downs through out the series but he has held out strong as a good and interesting character.

I think i would pick nathan drake as my second to be honest, naughty dog captured him perfectly, to me he is like one of my friends or atleast someone i could see being my friend, he isnt some muscle head, or over dramatic person like in most video games, he is just average and thats what makes him so great as a character.

I like Link, even though he would get owned by anyone except mario. I also like Gordan Freeman a lot too. Maybe its cause since they never talk i feel connected.

The lack of Max Payne is saddening. He is easily, hands down, the best protagonist ever crafted for a video game.

I voted Solid Snake, but others ones I would have picked would be Shepherd (Mass Effect), Jak, Cloud, Tidus and Nathan Drake

I'd like to say the Chief, but I have to admit, the game does little or no character development for him. Yeah I read the books, but they don't include a lot of that stuff in the games (regarding John). He's more like the Man With No Name of video gaming, I think. He's laconic and cool, yet manages to dominate with his presence.

Mario, he made the biggest feats. A simple plumber visiting a world of dinosaurs, jumping into paintings..... cleaning an island and going to space....

I also believe he's a pro baller, soccer player and Baseball player.
