Best multiplayer shooter this gen? poll

You got bored with TF2, others will get bored with KZ2 (like with R2), others are bored of Halo 3, etc.

TF2 has constant updates. The Scout one was just realeased. :) Incredible online game IMO. You'll have people playing it years down the road (on PC at least) just like with CS:Source, CS 1.6, DoD, etc. Can't say the same for KZ2.

TF2 and Left 4 Dead by far are better. Left 4 Dead innovated with the AI director and TF2 is Team Fortress (PC) and is an incredible game.

Engineer may be a copy but what else is? Sniper? Medic? Those are standard classes for this genre. All of the other classes preexisted in various forms in other games (e.g. wolf ET).

Even supposing killzone is unoriginal. It doesnt matter. They are all unoriginal. And no one does unoriginal better than Killzone 2.

Sniper is, well, a sniper. Nothing new there.

Other then that:

Assault = Mix of Demoman and Soldier.

Saboteur = Mix of Scout and Spy.

Medic = Is a Medic but without the Uber Healing gun. This isn't a copy...it's standard.

You can't tell me you seriously don't see the resemblances...Look at the Saboteur and how he disguises himself as an enemy. It's almost identical. Add in the extra speed and you have the Scout.

IYO, KZ2 is better. I disagree.

Did i say that made it better? Nope. We're arguing opinions here. I'm just stating almost certain Facts. TF2 will still be played heavily 3 years down the road whereas KZ2 population will most certainly be gone. And i have no doubt that Counterstrike will be forever remembered as one of the best online FPS out there.

And, No, CS is not the most played PC game.

I own it. So, yes, i have played it. Again, IYO, KZ2 wins. In mine TF2 wins. I can sit here and say "Put the two side by side. TF2 wins." It's all opinion. Deal.

How can you not see the obvious bias in this pole? It's been less than a week after KZ2 has released. Give it six months then we'll see.

Oh, and Wolfenstein ET is definitely one of the best multiplayer games out there. Overall best? Don't think so. But definitely high up there.

puckhogs right the depth in tf2 is unsurpassed compared to kz2 if kz2 came to pc today i doubt it would get an 8 cause pc has higher standards for shooters.

Gears Of War 1 and TF2. Don't know what one is better.

people are overrating TF2. It was good, but there's no lvl system so you're playing for nothing :lol: Same with Halo 3 :lol:

KZ2 have both the class system and the lvl system, and that's what makes it so addictive

I personally own/have owned all of them. Only one i don't own is Halo 3 (sold it, got to level 40 in Team Slayer then got bored of it). Played it a good amount though. Was good for awhile anyway. I personally prefer TF2 out of all of them and i own all but Halo 3. Most replay value IMO in TF2 not only with the Class updates but with the constant custom maps being released (PC).

Problem with polls like this is that KZ2 literally just came out. Wait for maybe 6 months and then it would be viable because all those people that are initially liking it may not like it in the long run whereas games like TF2 have beenplayed on Steam for about a year and a half now and isn't slowing at all. When the initial *shock* factor is gone then a poll like this is somewhat meaningful (still not much meaningful however).

KZ2 is basically like TF2 except way better.. You cant beat it imo.
