3 is my favorite.

I'm a horror movie buff, and while all the other Resident Evil games have the supernatural theme with zombies, or some other entity, taking over and wreaking havok, the 3rd game had the added element of the serial killer, Nemesis. It's like combining Friday the 13th with Night of the Living Dead.

Resident Evil 2 is the best.

It was a big jump in graphics and had the return of Chris Redfield & Wesker. It also had a great story.

Re4 all the way.

I never finished RE2&3, and as much as I loved RE4 I completely agree with you. Code Veronica is the best RE title. Certainly more scary but that's not to take anything away from RE4 since it did -also- have superb atmosphere which is more than you can say for Resident Gears 5.

I am conflicted, I am mixed with saying Re2, but I cant say no to re4.

This is tough. RE1 had the WOW Factor with 3d graphics & Voice Acting. RE2 was superb and improved on RE1 in everyway and the story was really good. RE3 Nemesis was the most Thrilling with the Nemesis. That Dude popping up out of nowhere with that horror music would straight make your heart beat really fast. Most of them are good but I would have to Give it to RE2.

RE2 closely followed by nemesis then 4. Not a huge fan of veronica but it was one very challenging game. Didn't realise it's so many peoples favorite.

the only reason I can think of that got higher wsa cause some people got tired or just never liked the controls and camra. If I had to score RE4 I would give it a 7 or 8. Its a solid TPS but doesint have the soul of RE imo.

Resident Evil remake for gamecube, by far.

One of the most scariest and beautiful games of all times. Since it was released, never seen a game scarier or so atmospheric.

Might get some hate for this. Having played all the RE games, I can say that I had the most fun with RE 5. Co-op with the wife and others online was just a blast. Beat the game like 10 times over. I can't say that about any of the other titles, even though I enjoyed practically all of them.
