Best Star Wars videogame.

I have 3 favorites

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Republic Commando, and KotOR 1.

Actually, the SNES series was pretty good, but had too many control issues and cheap hits that kept it from being great. TIE Fighter is the best Star Wars game, no question, followed by KOTOR and Jedi Outcast.

First of all, what makes you think I own a PS3?? Seriously?

Secondly, you're comparing a decent series of side-scrollers to what alot of people refer to as one of the best western RPGs ever made.

i wasnt around the old heyday of the star wars franchise. My first game was rogue squadron, gotta love the scramjets on those v-wings.

my personal favorite(sub-modern wise)would be Republic Commando. Screw the fancypants jedi that take all the glory.

KOTOR, KOTOR2, and Battlefront 2. I haven't had the oppurtunity to play Republic Commando.

Tie Fighter or Xwing Vs Tie Fighter. KOTOR was amazing too. Rebel Assault 1-2 were amazing too

Tie for first place for me :D, with Star Wars Galaxies, Pre-Level System coming in a close second.

Whats wrong with liking a a game that has garnered hundreds of praises from all around the gaming industry? I never saw Super Star Wars winning any awards back then like KOTOR did in 2003.

KOTOR, TIE Fighter (PC) were awesome. Yes the 'Super...' series on the SNES was good for the time... not sure about the best star wars games ever. It took until Shadow of the Empire (largely rubbish) to really encapsulate cruising around Hoth in a snow speeder, which was amazing at the time. My favourite however which people will disagree with is the original Rouge Squadron on the N64... I just couldn't help but thoroughly enjoy that game.

Super star wars, is the most overrated series of all time, those games are absolute garbage. Im a huge retro gamer to so its not like i dont like classic games i own a colecovision for gods sakes

Really? I wouldn't say garbage, although each to their own I guess. Platform/shooter hybrids don't exactly capture the feel of star wars mind you...

Imo its between the trilogy on Snes, KOTOR1 and Battlefront series

Jedi Academy is still the one I like the most.

agreed. tie fighter is like the ultimate star wars game. also xwing alliance was a pretty cool game, a bit of a weird plotline but still great. excellent variety of units to pilot, and great graphics for the time.

kotor games were pretty good. loved republic commando. the super series was money. shadows of the empire was tight. jedi outcast was amazing as well. rogue squadron games were awesome. there have been lots of great star wars games across the generations of gaming.

those battlefront games were garbage.

KOTOR was amazing..... but I really really love TFU too. TFU could easily be used as an Episode 3.5 movie... and someday I hope it is.

Jedi Knight 2. Legendary game.

Had the most fun with:

1-Tie fighter

2-Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight

3-KOTOR

(honourable mention: X-Wing, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, Rebel Assault, Dark Forces)

JK2:Jedi Outcast and TIE Fighter. SWG pre-NGE possibly has a spot up there. Anyone saying anything else other than KOTOR needs to play these games ASAP.
