Square Enix for the Kingdom Hearts series alone. Honorable mentions go to Kojima, Sony Santa Monica (GOW series), and Naughty Dog (Jak & Daxter and Uncharted)abdelmessih101
Jak and GoW are very good games but they're not exactly strong in the story department. :?

Odd, in my opinion, they were especially strong in the story department. :? Most others seem to agree.[QUOTE="StealthMonkey4"][QUOTE="abdelmessih101"]Square Enix for the Kingdom Hearts series alone. Well, it's pretty accurate to Greek mythology. While the main theme is violence and vengeance, it does cover that theme extensively through Kratos' story of both pain and destruction. Also, the ending of the trilogy (GOW 3) brings some variety into the mix.
In any case, if you didn't enjoy the plot or even if it didn't interest you for whatever, you still have to admit the storytelling is epic and damn good.

I thought it was good in GoW3 (only one I've played, though I liked it quite a bit), until the end. The whole Hope thing makes sense in the context of Greek Mythology, but it felt kind of forced. Didn't seem very Kratosy to me.i would have to say bioware, never played any MGS games. Valve shouldnt even be on the list, half-life barely has any storytelling compared to other games but portal is funny, don't know if that counts.

Too bad they don't make good stories anymore though. Their stories pretty much drop off a cliff with the crap that was VII. IX was ok but, Xenogears was the height of their storytelling.
Bioware unquestionably. Kojima? Seriously? He had some good ones, but his latest (MGS4) had the worst story of any Metal Gear. It was poorly told, convoluted, contrived (bringing people back from the dead), and too long.
