Best video game romance?

Gordon freeman and Eli Vance are friends and collegues. same age. Alyx being Eli daughter and Gordon romancing his friends daughter would be sick.

Gordon was like the young hotshot newbie at Back Mesa, so he was maybe in his late 20's? Eli Vance was closer to Kleiner's age and a veteran scientist at Black Mesa, so no where near Gordon's age. Maybe 40ish?

Gordon was then put into stasis where he was held and did not age. It's also not like creepy vampire aging where you're a 400 year old but look like a 20 year old; he didn't progress really in any sense, he just sort of froze in space and time so when he came out, he was still young.

And they didn't need to say or show anything, you could sense the tension. Alyx was making googly eyes at Freeman the whole damn time 😋

Nah. I tried FF13 for the waifus but damn! I don't recall I have ever uninstalled any game faster than it. Easily the worst game I have ever played and that's saying much. How could a company something worse than a Bethesda RPG!

Theres difference between FF13 and FF7 remake.

FF7 remake is more of sci fi cyberpunk game. other FF are just high fantasies.

There are a lot of good ones, but Final Fantasy X Yuna and Tidus is one that really sticks in my memory for some reason. Maybe it was the forced laugh scene.

FF13 is trash. FF7 is a masterpiece. They're on polar opposite ends of the spectrum, even if they're technically from the same franchise. That's the thing about FF, there's never any consistency.

@pc_rocks: Then have you played other JRPGs, or watched anime, or seen K-pop videos? It's one of the peculiar things about East Asian pop culture, the way young males are often made to look metrosexual. And now it's starting to spread to Gen Z teens in the West, with the growing influence of anime and K-pop.

Either way, FF7 and Remake are still great games, and Cloud is a great protagonist, regardless of what he looks like. But if you can't handle what Cloud looks like... then God knows how you're going to handle Sephiroth! But Ghost, who was all about hyper masculinity before, doesn't seem to mind anymore.

I know about the k-pop culture. The bigger problem is the dressing or wrong proportions. I mean who dresses like that and to top it all just look at the body size and the weapons he wields. And it's again not a problem of being over the top. SF/DMC even Yakuza has over the top character styles but the proportions are right and have consistency. These stupid designs really irks me. And as far as I remember not all characters are like that. Some of them seems grounded in the game world but Cloud....

And then the new relationship with Weapon is so different. It was so well done. Not to mention the pilot and the great scene he has with Chief in Infinite. There are so many great things about Infinites direction with the characters. I really enjoyed it as did the industry. I lmao at the negative babybackballbagbullshit on this forum regarding the campaign. So much jealousy because it did so well critically. LOL

@cainetao11: haters and trolls gonna hate. The game was a masterchief, jk masterpiece. They did a fantastic job with developing the random pilot character. He's highly emotional which makes a great contrast to the chief.

No need to mind the haters, they're still hating on a game, nearly 1 year post launch. Not just the posters here, but YouTube is littered with these clowns. My favorite has to be the YouTuber who got a million views, saying he's done with halo. His literal entire channel is revenue comes from bashing halo. Like hell he's done.

If there was ever a game where "you can't judge a book by its cover"... it's FFVII. Cloud looks like some skinny emo kid, when in reality he's a wise-cracking stoic "tough guy" anti-hero. His Buster Sword looks too huge for his skinny arms, but that's because he's infused with Mako energy which gives him superhuman strength. Aerith looks like a Betty while Tifa looks like a Veronica, when in reality Aerith is more of a Veronica while Tifa is more of a Betty. Barrett looks like a black stereotype, with the tough Mr T looks and Ebonic accent, but in reality he's a softie while Cloud is the tough guy. FFVII takes common tropes and turns them on their head. That's just one of the things that make FFVII a masterpiece.

Jason bourne is badass, running from CIA. it was breath fresh of air in action movie genre. before that action movies were either either generic Die hard clones or rambo clones.

Lmao I just got done telling Ghosts this last week. The Jason Bourne movies are actual FAILURES of motion picture science. Shake-cam is the all-time worst camera "technique" right up there with the worst filmmaking gimmick that is found footage film.

@jg4xchamp: The damage is already done, the Before trilogy is forever stuck in Ghosts head. That's pretty impressive, because for someone like him to know these movies exist at all is quite impressive, somebody had to really get under his skin to maneuver his way to that trilogy.
