Does no one understand narrative structure, AC2 had exactly the type of ending you expect from the 2nd chapter in the trilogy. Which isn't a bad thing. Much like mass effect 2, Halo 2, mw2, The empire strikes back!
Anything with cheap artwork endings.. too lazy to come up with real-time cutscenes or cgi at least.. Alternative endings... roll in the concept art for good... okay! Now do it for the bad moral ending..

I did. I thought the ending was so bad it didn't reward me from doing the same thing over and over again. If they would've gave me a proper ending I wouldn't of minded it being repetitive.
Best: Bayonetta Worst: Mafia II * END SPOILERS ABOUT ABOVE GAMES* In Bayonetta you use the protagonist's hair to punch a deity to the Sun, never in my life have I seen such a thing. While Mafia 2, the most disappointing game this year for me, just randomly ends when things get good, it just felt so unfinished, like something was supposed to happen but it just ended instead.

It certainly did feel like half a game once you saw the ending. The sequel was a cliffhanger as well but at least it felt a bit more fleshed out.
no i havent played sands of time but i have played warrior within and that had a good ending/s and it was the sequal to that game the worst ending has to be prince of persia 4

I thought it was pretty good but sad. Then the DLC came and ruined it with a "to be continued" type of ending which, I would'nt be surprized if we never saw a continuation of.

yh but maybe the dlc helped it a bit well maybe if his donkey came at the end it could of helped him escape . and maybe the original ending could of created a sequal where elika had lost relatives who thanked the prince for reviving her
maybe a prince of persia 4 movie could of revived it

You're not even making sense but I get the impression I somehow hurt your feelings.
I was just pointing out that I thought the original ending had a sense of self containment to it, even if it was'nt the usual good ending. No idea what you intended with that post.
Now that you mention it I can't find that many games that actually had a memorable ending. Earthbound always make me happy and I found the Mass Effect 2 ending really left me wanting more in a good way.
I didn't think the Black Ops ending was all that. I mean the things leading to the ending was Mind-Blowing but then the ending mission was actually my least favorite as well as the last cutsecene.
MGS4. I'm sorry but I used to get annoyed when people pulled the 'Metal Gear Movie' thing but its really hard to defend a game where the ending feels like it goes on for days.
