This was known by everyone as soon as the review copies came in. None of them were for PS3. That was enough to tell everyone they knew a problem existed.
Lucky me than. Consoles=exclusives PC= everything else therefore Xbox 360=waste of money I dont understand this though, Oblivion was pretty good on PS3. i may have modded the crap out of the PC version, but i enjoyed the PS3 version more. I liked the bigger screen and I prefer the gamepad over the M/KB for this type of game (open world RPG). I bought skyrim on PC, I knew the console version would have insane loading times, and I dont like that.I don't understand what the problem is?
We all knew it'd only be a proper game on the PC, and I'm sure Bethesda knew it too. It's not their fault people limit themselves to owning just a PS3.

Has Bethesda ever released a game thats worked on any platform?
They couldnt even get Brink to work, and thats a FPS.
[QUOTE="BPoole96"]I knew as well. Everybody didActionRemixI didn't. I want a refund. Did you play Fallout 3 for PS3? I had a save file that had 200 hours on it and my game literally ran at 15 FPS and load times just to enter a building were around 30 seconds. I didn't know any better so I kept playing. Fallout New Vegas was the same song and dance, but I didn't deal with it and only put in about 25 hours After playing the PC versionsI can't imagine dealing with that again. Now I know to not buy Bethesda games on PS3. These problems weren't exclusive to me so I figured most people would expect the issues Skyrim has
And? did you think it would make them look good by delaying only the PS3 version?..or worse ALL the versions?lawlessxThey would look better than they do now. I wasn't interested in the game, but it's the principles of the situation. They would have looked like they cared, or at least look liked they tried to prevent any issue.

It's a great game and I feel bad for those who have had these issues. Have the patches fixed anything at all?

Yeah at the time I only owned a PS3 so it was my only option
You know....we all pretty much knew that this was coming seeing the issues of Oblivion and Fallout 3 on the PS3.
And considering what they were doing with the game it was quite apparent that the game was indeed going to have MAJOR problems.

Oblivion was superior on PS3 over 360. 4J Studios did the port on it, not Bethesda. 4J should have done the PS3 version of Skyrim as well, from the sounds of it.
I ended up getting the 360 version of Skyrim because I heard that the PS3 runs at 5 frames a second after 60 hours of play.
Not my idea of fun.
Edit: Just since everyone always asks for proof and sources around here....
"Among the best looking PlayStation 3 titles released thus far and a step up compared to the Xbox 360 version, The Elder Scrolls IV shows off what time and fine-tuning can really do."
"Multiplatform users who have been holding out in hopes of getting the "best looking version" should still gravitate towards a pumped-up PC. But, as I mentioned earlier, the PS3 version of Oblivion is a definite technical improvement over the 360 edition. Even if you have the latest Xbox patch installed, this newest port holds an advantage with its quicker loading times (which are almost twice as fast as the 360's), fewer framerate hitches, sharper textures, a better draw distance, and a brighter overall picture."

I am at home. I also have Skyrim on 360, so I guess I'm set. Thank you for your tips. You buy a bethesda game on PC or go home.

Honestly, I don't really blame them as a company. They had this cool release date number, what was it? 11/11/11? Or something like that? They probably didn't want to piss off fans....
I have the 360 version, but even that version is not perfect, I don't think so at least. I never ran into any problems, but I know it did get patched once or twice.
As a game collector, I like the good stuff to be on the disc itself. I don't want to have to rely on an internet connection 10 years from now to get my game to work properly, because who knows if the patch will still even be available for download at that point in time.
GRRRR!!!

And this is what I hate about 99% of western developers. The all release glitchy and laggy games and fix them afterward with patches. They know their products are not complete yet they still release them because they know it won't effect how much money they make. The only western developers I've seen that don't do this are Blizzard and Valve.
I LOVE Fallout 3 and I thoroughly enjoyed Fallout New Vegas on my PS3 with little problems. Hearing how butchered Skyrim was for PS3, I didnt buy. I really lost alot of respect for Bethesda after this one. Super lame. Release a playable game or dont release it at all. carljohnson3456Ummm....NV was a hell lot worse then Skyrim on the PS3 >.>

Bethesda didn't develop Fallout NV, so I don't see why either of you mentioned it.

Didnt it use the same engine as Fallout 3? Which WAS developed by Bethesda? ;)[QUOTE="crimsonman1245"]

Bethesda didn't develop Brink, or the majority of the games that people assume they did because they were the publishers. :|
They didnt develop it but they did test it.Bethesda/Zeni Max has their own QA team that tests the games they publish. As evidenced in the credits in the game manuals.

Brink wasn't made by bethesda.
On the topic of skyrim, everyone who makes "educated" purchases would have seen this coming. Read the whole article though, it goes into detail about how bethesda thought it was a minor issue that would be easily resolved before anybody noticed. Unfortunately for them, it took longer than expected to patch.
they knew it and they didn't give a damn about customers, there is simply no way a game could have beeen released in that state without the company knowing and they still went ahead. They were lucky it was a great game or else it would be the last time i bought a game from them and im sure many others. im tired of bethesda crap releasing half done games, its just shows how little they care about people as long as it fills their pockets.
