It's a straight line. Conquest works better with triangle maps, or better yet diamond maps.

That oil refinery theme hasn't won me over, either.

You're right. I forgot the leak wasn't from a beta build. Operation Metro was shown off in a leaked 360 video. Looked good to me, but I hope they keep the underground and indoor sections and toss the 1st area if they have to scale down for consoles.

I think they'll do Operation Metro for Rush and Caspian Border for conquest and to show off vehicles/jets.

I only started it up once. Seemes sparse with the features, but you know, it started up, logged me in, and that's all it needs to do as far as I'm concerned.

It's giving me pricing from their ireland store (which is massively overcharging), and they can pretty much scan your comp for whatever they want once you have origin installed.

does anyone else feel like this game has lost a ton of steam? i remeber a few months ago everyone here was salavating at trailers and saying its the cod killer, but now since everyone has seen console footage, they realize its bad company 2 with slightly better graphics. im definetly not getting this at launch, saving my cash for fifa 12, uncharted 3, ac: revelations and batman AC

Nope, not at all. Then again, I play on PC. We're still drooling over trailers. We get yet another one on Friday. Then again, Battlefield is meant to be played on PC.

I do think that this game will take a lot of sales away from MW3. Maybe it won't be the COD killer, but it could be the game that begins its decline.

There's a lot of differences between this game and BC2 that you might not know of if you only casually follow news. The biggest difference will be the scale. Watch the Caspian Border trailer and you can see how big of a role vehicles will play in BF3.

Steam has been overcharging Europeans for years. The solution is to not purchase stuff there.

Unless they're gonna try and compete with UK retail prices it'll only ever be a login process to me. Simply making games Origin exclusive will make me continue buying retail copies.
