BF4 officially unveiled on March 26th - New Boxart leaked set in China?

There is a rumour going around that a teaser for BF4 will release to BF3 premium members this week ahead of the full unveiling on the 26th at the EA press event. Apparently someone found a set of dog tags in a database that reads "I was there" that you supposedly get after watching the video

Also the little image beside the dudes head has a picture of a city and a tower, this is that tower

The tower is in Shanghai further speculating that the game involves China which would fit into other previous rumours

Some of the other little images show a snowy mountain, some explosions and some water so nothing else much

That boxart looks like crap, mainly because it has the same exact theme as bf3. I was really hoping this new bf would be a sequel to 2143 or a new bad company. I think bf3 has enough content to last at least another year, like seriously why buy a new bf in similar setting with less maps and modes when bf3 has 29 maps and i think 13 game modes.The only way this would not be pointless is if it offers 64 player online on next gen consoles.redskins26rocs

Why do people still insist the new BF game was gonna be 2143 or BC3? It's been confirmed for months that it's BF4, even when MOH:W launched they had access to the BF4 beta. 

Sure it will be very very similar to BF3 but that doesn't mean it can't be good. BF3 is good and this is likely gonna be a more refined and focused evrsion of those maps and games modes absed on what people play the most. And yes next gen consoles will likely have 64 players on them, it would be stupid not to have that

Nice one. The DICE guys said they weren't gonna reveal the full boxart because someone else was gonna leak it anyway. Seems like it was true. Not sure what I make of the dude though, obviously he's important cos he actually has a face and not some helmet or anything like that. Probably their lame attempts at SP again

Yes sir, likely will involve China as a MP faction too instead of straight Russians vs. US. And China will likely be in the SP a lot too. There are also snowy mountians and a close up of someones face in the little orange images too.

Set in China for some of it and coming to next gen. Here is some more info that apparently leaked in chinese and got translated. I have no idea what lasagna is lol Also these are likely fake as some of it sounds really dumb

EA are running the risk of franchise fatigue, like for real. Sequels after sequels is just a no no, Battlefield is a well respected franchise but to go the COD route with it just aint cutting it. Also isnt it better to make a WWII or Futuristic themed battlefield game rather than this MW setting, cause looking at the info so far; i feel no sense of hype at all

I kind of liked BF3's SP *runs for cover*

It seems that I am the first to notice a big spoiler in this picture.

The picture towards the middle at the top, is a picture of Shanghai, with the under construction Shanghai tower, which will be completed in 2014

Battlefield 3 sucked hard, hopefully this is an improvement.... don't hold your breath.

Not much we can do about it is there? At least BF4 will look better as it will be on a better running version of Frostbite 2 and will be visually impressive. CoDs problem is looking the exact same as well as playing the exact same every time. if it at least looked different people might attack it less. Doesn't affect the gameplay but that's never gonna change much if you have a good formula anyway. 

And yeah maybe older or newer settings would be cool but also changing location to China is a big thing in itself

Setting the stage in China is not much different, a change in location that could be interesting is perhaps dealing with multiple settings.....Lets say event from WWII is cross mixed with events in the MW and then unto a future setting. While this does sound like BlackOps2, it really gives Battlefield room for flexibility in impressing its audience cause the contrast of battles waged in WWII-MW-Future War would feel very different enough from each other. Who even knows, they could bring it to multiplayer as well, where you have different Maps in different War settings, it would make multiplayer matches interesting because some elements of War types would require players adapt their skills to the different time frames.

Maybe im alone with my wishes, but game developers need to challenge the harder things rather than do a ctrl+C game alova again

I designed part of Shanghai in CE3 a while back, aside from that, I am working towards a degree in engineering with a emphasis in architecture, so I know most major skylines pretty well.

Back on topic: loved BF3, the game is probably the best looking game to date next to Crysis 3, and the gameplay is fantastic. So hopefully BF4 is just as good.

While some of these complaints are warranted, designing a game isn't easy. Sometimes you will make a completely different game, but a city setting suddenly makes it a crysis 2 or MW3 clone. Dice is a good dev, but EA seems to be holding them back. EA is probably the reason we didn't get to mod BF3

Can't wait! 64 players on consoles....make it true.

Bad Company 2's levels didn't have the level of detail that BF3 has. The enviroments in BF3 are bigger and more diverse, so it's harder to keep the same level of destruction.
