So we should keep checking Battlelog a week ahead?Yeah something might come in the next 7 days or so there. But I wouldn't be too hyped for the teaser, it's likely just a log and some faint pics in the background like the BF3 teaser. not actual footage
ps4 most superior version confirmed, sorry hermits... your slow computers wont be able to keep up with the massive battles and players going on in Battlefield 4

You mean the 64 player battles PC players have had since before BF even came to consoles? :?

I can't even comprehend the stupidity in this statement...
And yes next gen consoles will likely have 64 players on them, it would be stupid not to have that
seanmcloughlin
Says who? Unless they've done an about face with regards to console multiplayers running on servers instead of P2P, there will be no 64 man games for the next gen consoles.
As always, Battlefield is best played on the PC.

Because they said ebfore consoles couldn't handle the stress of a 64 player game, and it would be stupid if they didn't. It makes the most sense to go 64 on consoles. Sure it's not all down to hardware but still, if a current PC of equivelant specs can do it then there's no reason a next gen console shouldn't.Â
I'm just assuming, nothing concrete of course

Yet BF3 didn't have 64 player multiplayer for consoles. So I'm not seeing how that's going to change just because there are newer consoles coming out.

Low-end PCs can't, at least not very well, and that's essentially what the new consoles will be.
I don't think we'll see 64 man games on consoles. I don't think EA would be willing to go for that.

There was a recent leak claiming consoles would have 64 player servers. It wouldnt be surprising, I would expect at least 32 anyways

Umm... the PS3/360 use dedicated servers.
DICE repeatedly said the CPU and RAM in both the 360 and PS3 could not handle 64 players at the level of environmental destruction they wanted. They said they could have pushed more if they would have decreased the visuals but decided that would be worse for the game and just stuck with 24.
The NextXbox and Playstation 4 verisons will easily have 64 players. The PS4 has as much power as a mid range gaming PC that could easily run BF3 at 1080p at 60fps on medium-high settings.

No you are wrong. The PS4 is pretty much a mid-range PC when you combine all of the different parts and then understand how dedicated gaming hardware works compared to general purpose PC hardware works on both a hardware and software level.
Also, the PS3 could handle a 256 player game and the 360 handled Final Fantasy 11 with no problem, so your arguments are completely irrelevant.
That boxart looks like crap, mainly because it has the same exact theme as bf3. I was really hoping this new bf would be a sequel to 2143 or a new bad company. I think bf3 has enough content to last at least another year, like seriously why buy a new bf in similar setting with less maps and modes when bf3 has 29 maps and i think 13 game modes. The only way this would not be pointless is if it offers 64 player online on next gen consoles.redskins26rocs
[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"][QUOTE="killzowned24"] Bad Company was easily the best they did last gen,BF3 is complete crap compared.killzowned24Bad Company 2 had consolized controls on the PC. BF3 plays more like a PC game, which I like. BF3 had downgraded destruction and crappy maps.In Bad Company you could level the whole map,BF3 is a shadow of what could be done.
Â
I'll never udnerstand this fascination with Bad Company's sh!t-tastic destruction physics. There were 2-3 building types copy pasted all over the maps with empty interiors and the same scripted collapse animation.
Â
Â
Leveling city blocks in karkand is far more appealing
Â
But BF3 was Bad Company 3. Needed more Bad Company gang and humor. So it needed the same garbage single player but with annoying characters?[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"][QUOTE="Obviously_Right"]

SP is always a incredible visual showcase. Aside from that, it's pretty fun the first time through. So personally, I hope they keep it, and I'm sure they will.

gotta love it how new generation start playing BF since bad company 2. and judjing the series. they are not making for fans of early games but fans of newer games.been playng since 1942 and BC2 was what i consider my favourite bf game..come at me bro.
Oh and hell yes to a BC3 i want to know what happens after 2 considering the ending.

Doubtful. The PS4 will not out-perform low-end PCs built for gaming.
You're seriously using MAG as an example? The game failed miserably. And it was extremely laggy to boot.

So if it gets revealed before the 720 reveal..does that mean that ps4 gets even more coverage and that we can finally quit being morons in thinking that microsoft snatched bf4 all for itself

This really is going to be this gen's Cell isn't it..
There is nothing special about GDDR5. It is used for graphics cards. For example, the Nvidia Titan has 6 gb's of GDDR5. Before you get too excited about PS4 having 8 gb's, you should know that it is also used for the Cpu, which is pretty unconventional, but still isn't really special. The GDDR5 covers the whole PS4, while a pc has GDDR5 for the graphics card, and usually 8 gb's of DDR3 ram.
