They play differently, but COD keeps me playing because of the customisation. BC2 had a bit with the perks though.

pretty much this.

BFs have a strategic element in them. it's not just running and blasting. you actually have to think about your approach if you wan't your team to win.

Yea. S&D is the closest to strategy CoD players see. Though it seemed to lose some of the tactical planning as people continued to play it.

Hmm not really. BC2 as stated before has actual tactical planning, bigger/better maps, better graphics, more exciting gameplay, then there is the immersion factor. Immersion is something CoD lacks and always has. BC2 puts you in the middle of what feels like a full blown war.

Afraid so, tactical warfare, better balance, harder gunplay, destruction of environment ensures variation game to game, superior playerbase, free map packs, DICE's map design skills, need I go on?

You have to be a complete idiot to recommend BFBC2 over Black Ops. Hands down, Black Ops multiplayer is one of the top three most balanced experiences I've had in any online game across any console.

The other two being Unreal Championship for original Xbox, and Counter-Strike Source for PC.

What about BFBC2 being balanced? What do you like better anyway?

Not sure about that, but the maps in BC2 are fantastic. BO has some nice maps, but Nuketown, Hanoi, and Jungle are some of the worst maps I have ever endured.

I have not played BO yet, and while I do enjoy BC2 as I'm a Rank 50 in it, it does have a lot of flaws that not many point out.

Hit detection issues-I got shot in the head and didn't die, I got shot a point blank range with a shot gun and didn't die, I got hit by a RPG and didn't die, I got shot 1st and then I ended up shooting the person who shot me without me dying, and the same applies to others.

It's glitchy-That knife glitch is stupid, you make contact with a enemy and it doesn't even work sometimes, and I get knifed because of that. C4 glitch where the C4 doesn't detonate. Tank mine glitch where they disappear for no reason. Ammo glitch where you start with no ammo and have to kill yourself to get ammo again. And more glitches that I'll try to remember.

Odd map design-I like some maps, but others are just painful to play and are not designed well, the worst offender is Rush on White Pass, my god is that a bad map.

Barely any options/content-Subjective, but really, compared to Battlefield 2, it's lacking.

The Squad modes are TOTALLY worthless-Rather have bots than that.

Campaign-The single player isn't that great to me, COD games had better campaigns, maybe not MW2.:P

I'm obviously fighting a loosing battle here but I'll give it a shot... Yes the gunplay is harder - if the fact that you went around 'owning the noobs' for months isn't evidence of this I don't know what is. The best map from BC1 just got added for free. The balance thing is more debatable I'll give you that, generally speaking though in BC2 the teams that work together win. You didn't attempt to rebut my other points. BC2 is abvously superior.

BFBC 2 is better because...

1. Gun realism

2. Map structure feels more like a real battlefield

3. Vehicles

4. Immersion

5. Destruction!!!

6. Class based gameplay.

The hit detection is a mess I have to agree. IDk about map desighn though. For the most part, I love every map. I will agree that Rush doesn't work well on all of them though, for instance White Pass and I personally think Cold War is the worst map yet.

The squad modes are actually great if you play with 3 friends. Spend more time playing those now than rush. Can't argue with your points on it being glitchy - It is - but I live with it cause the gameplay is so awesome.

Gunplay may be "harder" whatever you mean maybe I was just good at the game, but it's also easier to not get killed. I am glad they added a BC1 map. The beauty of COD is that it had more than 4 game modes, which suits various gameplay styles.

Those squad modes are more for fun than ranking up, and it's obviously designed with friends anytime the game puts you in a match as you wait for others to be in a squad, plus there isn't much to choose from compared to Conquest and Rush, the only modes I really play.

I do like some of the new maps, but some are obviously designed to favor attackers or defenders in rush(I don't mind conquest too much), I can even make a list and tell why. And LOL at Cold War.

On PC those maps are free, but on consoles, you have to buy a VIP code to get certain maps when it expires, and if you buy the game used, you pay even more, so it's not all free, though there's the ultimate edition to fix that.

You have to buy a code, what if you bought the game at launch, I thought the free maps would be free. I'm confused!!!

The hit detection is a mess I have to agree. IDk about map desighn though. For the most part, I love every map. I will agree that Rush doesn't work well on all of them though, for instance White Pass and I personally think Cold War is the worst map yet.

I do like some of the new maps, but some are obviously designed to favor attackers or defenders in rush(I don't mind conquest too much), I can even make a list and tell why. And LOL at Cold War.

No need I know exactly what you are talking about. Oasis is pretty guilty of favoring defenders, at least the first 2 parts. Harvest day is the same.

On PC those maps are free, but on consoles, you have to buy a VIP code to get certain maps when it expires, and if you buy the game used, you pay even more, so it's not all free, though there's the ultimate edition to fix that.

[QUOTE="shahilsyed"][QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] Man, I'm gonna have to pop in BC2 :DSaltyMeatballs
SaltyMeatballs - Are you being sarcastic?

Why would I be? Because I prefer BO? No reason not to play BC2, those maps were the **** :D

Oasis reminds me a lot of BF2 and the way those maps were setup and just feel. Not sure if you have played BF2 though. Really brought memories back when I first played on it, still does kind of.

You have to buy a code, what if you bought the game at launch, I thought the free maps would be free. I'm confused!!!

Buying it new gets it for free for the 1st few maps, but then it expires and you have to buy another one to get more maps like I did.

Yes, I had to buy another one, it didn't cover all the maps.

you get a VIP code when you buy the game, and you can only use it for one account. after that, the account stays "VIP" and you don't have to buy it ever again.

whaaa..? expired? all of my friends playing on PS3 have used the same VIP account since the launch, and have got all the map packs with it.

have you made another account? you can only use the code for one account.

I'm confused, my VIP code seems to be a permanent thing.

Ok millerlight89, my thoughts on rush in certain maps:

Port Valdez=Both

Nelson Bay=Defenders

Valprassio=Attackers

Laguna Presa=Attackers

Atamca Desert=Defenders

Arica Harbor=Both

White Pass=Attackers

Cold War=Defenders

Am I missing a map?

It's ok if you liked these maps, I like some too, but it's obvious to what map favors what side.
