I personally think that it was Sony's ps2 "being 50x more powerful than the dreamcast".
A close contender is the "32 BIT BLAST PROCESSING" for all who remember SNES vs Genesis.

yeah, maybe the PS4 will just be 2 ps3s strapped together. That would solve most of the problems...It would need some more ethernet ports though.I'd go with this considering Sony is still using the same slogan even when they removed some marketed feature recently."It Only Does Everything"

Lol at this "The RSX is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards, which would cost roughly $1,000 total if purchased today."
By the time the PS3 came out there was the 7800GTX already seated in for a while and the 8800GTX looming in.
The 6800 ultra was much cheaper even lass than half that price mentioned.
Plus two 6800 ultras were still stronger.

Blast Processing by a long shot ^
sure sony said alot of stuff but when the system came out we realized it was all iies.. back then there was no internet or anything lol.. people actually thought there was something inside the system that made games be able to have super fast action like in sonic the hedgehog games.. when all it meant was that they just programmed their games to run well and characters to run really fast lol.. when nintendo liked making more laid back games like zelda and mario
"it only does everything"
they should add everything except play Ps2 games, or have a decent internet browser
[QUOTE="Halcalix"]I'd go with this considering Sony is still using the same slogan even when they removed some marketed feature recently.Except the PS3 model that they're marketing with the "It Only Does Everything" slogan never came with said feature installed. It should also be noted that the feature in question was never actively advertised as a feature on the PS3 on any TV commercial or even on the box the system came in, at least it's not on the box my NA launch 60GB PS3 came in(which was one of the first 400,000 PS3's on sale in NA during the 2006 holiday season, by the way). ;)"It Only Does Everything"

built in router and 2 hdmi ports were never promised or used in any form to market ps3. They were ideas from 2005 when the idea of ps3 was reveled. Also ps3 does support 7 controllers.4D, 1080p at 120fps, with 2 hdmi ports, built in router and support for 7 controllers....
