Biggest Disappointment of the Year?

That would probably be number two on my list. I did like the forensics, and hand-to-hand combat works ok. It's sort of hit and retreat but...it's ok. Why did they have to go and make it all so ridiculous? Kill 10 ceiling sacks. I ****ing lolwut'd my pants when I saw that objective. And the graphics...I mean, I'm fine with grimy and whatnot, but when you're having difficulties finding your way through a level because everything so damn brown and noisy you've got a problem. Progression through levels isn't entirely smooth for other reasons too, it's sort of stupidly desgined form time to time. Like in one of the dirty, monochrome levels you need to find a switch whilst being chased by explosive dolls and then hide behind a box containing explosive dolls as it moves in front of a flame. It's not just stupid that you're being attacked as you're trying to figure out where to go, the solution makes no sense at all. Hide behind explosives being exposed to an open flame? I stopped playing after reaching these shelves that I couldn't sidestep between like you could in the intro, then I kicked a propane tank and it blew up and killed me.

To sum up; Condemned 2 is stupid as hell.

It does honestly get better after the federation planet, and once you get to sky town the standard metroid excellence is there, but the overarching damage of its story and characters is ever present sadly.

It does honestly get better after the federation planet, and once you get to sky town the standard metroid excellence is there, but the overarching damage of its story and characters is ever present sadly.

You should, same thing happened to me. Didnt touch the game for about 6 months but suddenly started racing through it again.

I thought it was the most addictive mp game since BF2 personally.

Biggest let down for me has been my inability to play the games I got! I haven't had time to do jack squat once I get home...

I'd say GTAIV, all the reviews got my hyped and while it was fun for a while, after the story (which wasn't all that it was cracked up to be) there was nothing to do.

UT3 was dissapointing no matter what the platform

Haze was, I hoped it wouldn't be bad but it was.

As of right now, GTA4. In the future Gears of War 2 is likely to top that.metalgear-solid

GTA IV; Broker is brilliant, the rest is a mess.

I thought that Braid was slightly disappointing, but only slightly.

too human. greatest disappointment, 10 years in the making.

hyped to nearly AAA status and at one point hyped to be a mgs4 killer by some extreme fanboys but it flopped hard.

second will be alone in the dark for me cos i really wanted a decent horror game until resi 5 and silent hill came but it disappointed aswel. although the ps3 version will be fixed up and overhauled to get rid of the bugs so hopefully it will do better this time round

My Biggest Disappointment of this Year was SSBB that game plows the same as Melee, it deserves a 7.5 at best IMO.

GTAIV wasnt that bad.

Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 by far was the biggest disapiontment. It was just a combination rip off of GRAW and COD. They totally went in the wrong direction.NismoNissan41

It wasn't a bad game, but it was horribly disappointing since it was supposed to be a spiritual successor to System Shock 2 (which it totally failed to live up to).

Anyway, I can really think of any game this year that surprised me by flopping.

The one game that did disappoint me, however, was the PC version of Mass Effect - after all of the hype and great reviews last year, I expected it to be some kind of epic RPG with a mindblowing storyline...and it wasn't.
Urgh, it's probably Bioware's worst RPG.
