White Knight Chronicles. That game could have been so much more. Hopefully the sequel is what the first should have been: Good.

Back when I only had a Wii, I was hyped for Mario Strikers Charged. I thought it would be awesome to play online. I was wrong lol. I guess it's fun if you're into the random game changing power-up formula of Mario Sports games, but I realized that I wasn't into that a bit too late lol.
[QUOTE="gamebreakerz__"]Is it just me or is there a lack of MW2 on this thread?789shadow
Most of the people on this forum hated MW to start, so they couldn't exactly be dissapointed by 2. :P
Spore for me.
The ball was definitely dropped with Haze. I remember all those great looking "in-game" screens they released for it. What a pile of poo it turned out as.
Lair was another. I hated the controls, and they took waaaaaay too long to patch that. Any game that comes with a review guideline sucks, plain and simple.
Spiderman 3 was terrible, especially since I enjoyed Spiderman 2 so much, they dumbed down the webslinging, which was the only enjoyable thing about 2 to me.
Turok. Used to be an awesome shooter with really cool weapons. Then they decided to turn it into Halo with dinosaurs. And the controls were god awful, move the stick a mm to the side and you'll spin all the way around.
GTA IV. Horrible gameplay, awful characters, boring city. Just about everything in the game failed to meet my expectations. RDR is like 1000% better, but still only good for one play through, and the MP sucks.
Assassins Creed. I liked a lot of things about it, and don't really regret the purchase, but it was way too boring for a game.
MW2. I put this here because it was bad enough that it didn't even live up to my low expectations. One of laggiest games to be found this gen, and yet so many people put up with it. Baffling really.
MAG. Like AC, lots of things I liked about it. The gameplay was a little too clunky for me. However, when I was in a good squad that didn't seem to hinder me too much. Still, I got rid of it prematurely because of it.
It is still DEFINITELY an amazing game, but I was highly disappointed about most of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I am aware that it says in the title, "Inside Story", but I was very sad that they didn't have tons of different places to go to like in SuperStar Saga and Partners in Time. It was just the inside of Bowser, and it didn't feel as fun to explore. The first game, I played through 4 times because I loved it so much - the second one I loved too, and I have two files that are almost completed. This one is great still, but it just doesn't have that "ZING!" that the others had.
Demon's Souls
Gears of War
Fable II
Mario Kart Wii
RE5
GTA IV
and more
That doesnt mean all those games are awful, just big dissapointments. RE5 is great, but when compared to RE4 it almost feels like it was made on a console a generation before RE4. IDK it just felt boring, and unpolished.
Dragon Age: Origins for the 360. I just couldn't get into it; Nothing was terrible but the combat felt really foreign to me. With that said, I thought the same thing about Mass Effect, & sold it. Bought it again two months later, & sold it again. Upon hearing about ME2, I decided I'd give it one last go. This time I really gave it a chance, & it became one of my favourite games this generation, so with DA2 on the horizon, & with DA:O being loved as much as ME, I'm going to have to give it another look.
Fallout 3 ---> I got it unistall after 7 hours of gameplay...
Dragon Age ----> Awesome RPG , but too much focus on RPG elements for its own good. Drop it after 10-12 hours , action was low and boring so the progress of game.
Resident Evil 5 ---> Really now , the worst RE ever. ( I was so big fan since RE on PSonetill RE remake , didnt like RE4 much) and the first RE ever , i didnt feel like play it. Drop it at Chapter 4.Biggest fail in series.
Preety much these are the most dissapointing games to me , simply because you get so much hype that you actually waiting so much from them , and then you simply get dissapointed... Simple as that. IMHO
IMO Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, Silent Hill Homecoming, Soul Calibur 4 Dragon Age Origins (360 version long story), to some extent Lost Odyssey, Far Cry 2
If you can,get the PC version of DA this time,it´s better than the console versions in every regard.Dragon Age: Origins for the 360. God of War 3. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, I just had higher/different expectations for it. It was my first GOW game and I guess I expected the gameplay to be more like NG,50u1r34v3rMistake 1, it's not even close in terms of challenge, depth, or fluidity :P

killzone 2Personally, given the hype and pre-title of "Halo-Killer", Haze turned out AWFUL.

Crackdown 2- REALLY? They couldn't have done better than that? They removed some of the coolest elements of Crackdown, the gang structure, transforming cars and put in FREAKS and Cell? Also the voice of the Agency just WOULD NOT SHUT UP. One of the worst cases of missing the point I have ever seen.
FF XIII- The incredibly long tutorial phase and insipid characters and story just ruined it for me. Cool battles system though. It's a shame they felt that they needed to stretch it out for more than 10 hours.
Alpha Protocol- Arcade style bosses in a semi realistic spy RPG? Lame. The minute I shoot a human enemy with a rocket launcher at point blank several times and they don't become a new art installation against the wall, you lose me..Also, the game is unpolished and just plain ugly.
Far Cry 2- a friggin mess. Respawning enemies every 5 minutes with wonky AI in an environment made for exploring, a recipe for frustration.
Assassin's Creed- Wash, rinse, repeat. Great character though.
inFamous-Quite possibly one of the most unlikeable group of characters I've seen this generation, with the most bland lead character. The gameplay is tight, but after awhile, I just stopped caring about everything. And the enemy sniping from blocks away and areas where they shouldn't have been able to see you was ANNOYING.
This, why they did thta baffles me.Mass Effect 2 for sure... TOOK MY RPG AND TURNED IT INTO A TPS WITH PERKS
Espada12
in b4 MGS4

Who would dare say MGS4? It's THEE game of this generation. Resident Evil 5 was the biggest dissapointment for me.

This, why they did thta baffles me. Nah, Mass Effect has much better story and exploration but Mass Effect has far better gameplay. In fact there's more customization, meaning more RPG.Please Log In to post.
