Biggest reason why PC gaming stinks

i cant wait untill all games are digitally distributed that's the best way aka steam.

this whole blu ray,cd,dvd are crap storage formats.

way too weak.

isp's need to stop limiting upload/download speeds.

i never bought a game off steam...but i assume it's exact same if you buy a game.

back in the day i bought a 9800 pro and it came with free half life 2....coupon it came with cd key i entered on steam.

and i can download half life 2,counter strike source,half life 2 deathmatch,half life 2 lost coast,half life 1

unlimited amount of times.

that's freaking awesome.

Games have bugs, operating systems have bugs, drivers have bugs. If you haven't experienced them personally then you either haven't played many games or are flat out lieing.

none of the pirated games work exact same as having a cd key.

you gotta play on pirvated servers and ****

so i dont see how developers are complaining.

you can buy a game off steam and download it infinity times.

hows that any different from downloading a game you bought on a game disk? lol i mean it's different...but still you should still have the right.

The biggest reason PC gaming stinks for me is my PC.

I need to upgrade my stuff and go back to XP.

Games won't install properly. I'm trying to load DoW Platinum edition on my dual core thinkpad R61...but as soon as the install starts it quits with an error "installation ended prematurely because of an error". WTF! I need this to work now so I can load the patches and play the game while I'm at my cabin.

Now I remember why I went to console gaming as my preferred method of gaming.

No. I've not once been unable to properly install a game.

Regardless, it sounds like you should stick with consoles if you're that terrible with computers.

Actually it is a T61P and it has NVIDIA card in it that can handle DoW on high settings.

listen to yourself. people would help you if this was on the pc board, but nooooo you had the nerve to put it on System Wars. 

Dawn of War isn't going to run on a thinkpad, mostly becasuse thinkpads aren't designed for games. Oh and stop DLing porn. We all know you're doing it...

yea i had windows vista but it sucked...i installed xp again.

microsoft needs to allow direct x 10 support on windows xp since....vista's a piece of crap.

when im on my desktop only applications i need running in background on windows xp i have 0% cpu usage.

on vista it's 4/8% cpu usage.
