I think it's far more plausible now than it was a few weeks ago. The new review system seems like it makes getting AAA a little easier and AAAA at least possible.mattbbpl

C'mon. This is Bioshock. If it comes out as great as SS did, Gamespot will love this game. This is arguably the most hyped game of 2007. Or very close...

Bioshock will be highly praised by many game sites. Not sure about a 10 but a 9.0 is possible. Unstoppable_1

The Gamespy Spiffy/iffy box had nothing in the iffy... I have heard no criticism of this game whatsoever in the media. It might happen, what with the new review system.

EGM went flat out and called it one of, if not THE, most amazing game they've ever gone hands on with.

I think its possible.

Well, yes, it could score 9.0, but what is to stop this game for scoring a ten? Gamespy has played 1/3 of the game and they say that it is perfection.

I mean that based on the background of the game and the fact of how much effort is being put into it, saying that this game is comparable to say ... The Darkness (8.5) ... is far-fetched.

This game has gotten nothing but praise and is highly expected to turn out amazing.

I dont see Gamespot giving this game AA. Not at all.

Anything could go wrong, no game is perfect. Possible bugs, long loading times, aiming issues(360 version), or framerate drops, just for example. But don't get me wrong, I expect it to be a great game.

Listen, I know that anything is possible, but Ken Levine has referred to this as his Magnum Opus. He would not push a glitchy product out the door, not when so much depends on how said product is marketed and critically recieved.

Either way, I really hope this game does well at review and retail. I am a huge SS2 fan, and it would feel like redemption for the cold reception that SS2 got sales wise.jetthrovegas

I think that's a bit hasty, and I say that as someone who is an enormous System Shock 2 fan. If anything, the fact that it lacks some of the SS2 RPG elements (like weapon degradadtion) will only help it do better critically.

I think Bioshock has the potential to be better than SS2 and Deus Ex. No, I am not smoking crack.

I know alot about it, but I want Crysis more ... Getting a little tired of Corridor creepy-toomanyshadows FPSs, despite all the coolness :P

i second that, i really believe that Bioshock will be the first game to secure an AAAA rating thanks to the generous new system, which i myself find very fitting for such an awesome game :)

Games are rated by standards of the platforms. The smaller 360 library and less functionality might be the boost it needs to score an AAAA on 360, while only getting an AAA on PC.

Bit like Half Life 2 scoring lower than Halo 2, but getting Shooter GOTY.

On the old system, I could see this getting a 9.6 (which isn't too far-fetched). Translating that to the new system, it would get a 10.

Having said that, if there's anything slightly wrong with the game, Gamespot can't really justify hadning out a perfect score...so I'm guessing 9.5.

Either way, I've pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, so I'm getting it regardless of what it scores here.
