The crazy things people brag about, good job you're getting a multiplate a year late. It's like running a race, coming last and then bragging about it.CreepyBacon
But its like everyone else said you would never run the race or never finish it. Well look at it now.

yes but PS3 version will be downgraded in graphics
Wow the game is rumored to come out with upgraded graphics and you whip out the fanboy comment already.
would people honestly care if it did come out for the ps3 now?lawlessx
If Bioshock was originally a 360 exclusive then it would be pretty big. But since it was already multiplat it's not nearly as big. Good for PS3 owners if true. Everyone should experience this masterpiece :).

Im not saying anything, just stating the trendBioshock is a great game
good news for PS3 owners .. everyone should have the opportunity to play this game
some have called it overrated .. mainly PC gamers who feel the RPG-elements are dumbed down
but that's prob why i enjoyed it so much .. everything was at the right depth to be enjoyable rather than complicated/frustrating
i bet more people love the game than don't though
just like how cows enjoyed ninja gaiden sigma, released years after the xbox version, again cows have the chance to enjoy another great game if they haven't already
it doesn't matter that this game has been out for a while .. i played games like KOTOR and Half-Life years after they were released, and loved them
This is a rumour, and seriously, people have moved on, they wont do it, rather just spend that time getting Bioshock 2 up and runningWell, that's great for people who want to play it I guess.
No reason for fanboys to be bitter :P

Porting it won't exactly be uber hard would it? Well..it is PS3. But if they do this, they establish a fanbase on the PS3 for BioShock 2, increasing eventual sales! One months or so work for BioShock 1 sales = win :P
overated because of lackluster shooting mechanics and repetitive bland linear enviroments.Bioshock is a great game

How often do we see PS3 ports sucking? If I remember correctly, the game engine was designed to be multi-plat, including a Ps3 version. Remeber the Ps3 configurantion file incident last year that triggered rumors about a Ps3 version?
I guess whatever exclusivity MS paid for has expired and they are looking into expanding their proits.

I don't think they paid anything, it was just a choice for easier development I guess :|

They apparantly signed a deal, im guessing they were going 360/PC from the beginning but MS approaching them for an exclusivity they were keeping anyway is a win-win situation for them.tired? are u trying to say bioshock is "tired"?http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52404
A PlayStation 3 version of 2K Boston and 2K Australia's story-driven underwater shooter BioShock will arrive this September, assuming rumors printed within the June issue of EGM are true.
According to the magazine and proven NeoGAF proxy SuperSonic 1305, the PlayStation 3 port will pack improved visuals over the previous PC and Xbox 360 editions along with the previously-released free downloadable content.
When reached for comment today, 2K Games told Shacknews it had "no comment" on the matter. A PlayStation 3 iteration of BioShock was denied by creator Ken Levine last August, though his phrasing only indicated the studio was not pursuing a PS3 version at that time.
EGM's writeup further states that the upcoming BioShock 2 will be unveiled around September as well. No platforms have been announced for the 2K Marin-developed sequel, though PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions are expected.
I gues that 360 fans cant use the same tired reason for why the 360 is better then the ps3

LOL, or a whole year like Lost Planet with one dude working on it!Regardless, Bioshock is a hardcore game with NO franchise to back it up (to the casuals anyway) yet went on to sell well. I think they would rather just finish Bioshock 2 ASAP

But, they would make even more money if there were a franchise to back it up on PS3 :P
Anyway, I doubt it's hurting the development of BioShock 2 too much, what they learn by porting BS1 to PS3 will help them with BS2
Let's see what MS has to say about this.

MSFT is going to get owned when it sales 500 copies.
I haven't played Bioshock, but I know the story and seen people play it and it is wicked sick. Good to see more people will be able to play it.lild1425
agreed
Any way you slice it Bioshock is an awesome game. Not only does it look jaw dropping, but the whole atmosphere, and art direction will blow your mind. Story wise, the characters are amazing and the story is pretty good. Knowing that more people will get to play this awesome game just warms my heart!fiscope

Oh please. I loved System Shock 2, but people need to accept change. It was never planned to be a direct sequel to System Shock, so why even complain?
meh, there have been lots of rumours about this and im not sure it will ever materialise. to be fair if bioshock WAS coming to ps3 it would have been anounced by now.
i can't beleive we are still getting these rumors, bioshock is never going to the ps3 and the cows should get used to it.
Who cares, the game is trashEgghead360
 I guess all xbox360 games are trash once lemmings realize they aren't exclusive to their system anymore. Same thing happened with Splinter Cell Double agent, Lost planet, and Eternal Sonata.
*edit*
I would not have bought the game even if it was released on PS3 at the same time. I could see that the game was shallow from the start and overhyped by lemmings like they do for all games. if it ever gets released on PS3 I'd pick it up whenever it was $15 or $20 in the bargin bins.

Why not? They're a third party company in the buisness of making money, surely a larger audience is good for them?

I was a system shock 2 fan, which was the whole reason why I pre-ordered Bioshock in the first place. But you have to keep in mind that Bioshock is not System Shock, even if it was called the spiritual successor. Bioshock is better in many ways than system shock 2, but I could understand why you miss some of the aspects of SS2, I really missed the tension and the fear, and I remember some great moments on that spaceship. But Bioshock does pushe the Shock franchise forward, making it more accessible and much more immersive, and, I have to admit, Bioshock demonstrates a much greator level of creativity than SS2 did, but that is an opinion I dont think many fans share...
By the way,
You didn't play Bioshock on a console, did you? I played the 360 version and was not impressed. but the PC version brings the action to a much more personal level. Things are very different when your sitting on your couch or when you are sitting near our PC, with a powerful headset and the awesomeness of keyboard and mouse controls.

They should have made a casual version of Bioshock and an advanced version, perhaps based on what dificulty level you chose. I could see that as being the best crowd pleaser. And maybe if they removed those stupid vita chambers, they removed the consequences of death.

if they were going to annouce it they would have rode the initial hype wave and said it was coming. it seems unlikely they would do it now.

i most certainly do. now all i need is mass effect and i'll be happy

It was never exclusive self owned and who said Eternal Sonata is trash? Double Agent sucked for the wii, so i see why some people called it trash and Lost Planet wasnt very good from the start. Please Log In to post.
