Bioshock, GOTY?????? I think everyone has been Bioshocked.

They say metroid is easier than the previous 2 on normal mode only because the cotnrols are so much easier to use, with a gamecube cotnroller retro already said its harder than MP1 and 2

Also about graphics, its been said by more than 1 reviewer that it stacks up against any 360 or ps3 game atm, i quote "This game truely shows art trumps textures and polygons" GT review

GT also gave it a 9.8 FOR GAMEPLAY, i think gameplay is one of the most important things :O

so u can miss out on a great game

First, you have been shown why in this thread the faces look this way. Two, your right the game is trash due to the FACES. :roll: Are you serious? The only thing I don't like is the way the game stutters sometimes, other than that, the game is simply awesome.

that looks liek a splicer?if so theyre faces are deformed because thyre addiucted to adam and theyre addition has created all sorts of mutations.its not perfect,theyre a few fgraphical glitches but god is it a great game:D

the other complaint i could have is that with the physics engine, the limbs sometimes move after enemies are dead, but it's a minor thing

It wont win GOTY in my eyes ... jsut another corridor shooter ... choice you say? either follow the arrow or go into a room with some item pickups ... eveyones experiance is different? hell no...

Difficulty? "not run n gun" ... yea they got that right ... its "run and wrench" it was so easy .. 2 shotting splicers and security turrets ............ (on medium).

Dont get me wrong, it was great fun ... but erm ... everything it claimed to be other than immersive was a lie.... hell by the end I was killing big daddies in 4 seconds.

The splicers are supposed to look disfigured and horrible.Thats the point.They said on the limited edition dvd that they got inspiration from pictures they found on the internet that showed soldiers that got plastic surgeries because their faces were disfigured during the war (World War II I think) and since the medical technology wasn't there yet, they ended up look horrible.BatmanBegins24

Because the more real it looks, the more you believe what you are seeing, and the more you get into the game. Hard to feel suspense when you are laughing at the characters that you are supposed to fear.

And when you start to come to, two bad dudes are there talking about you. Look at their faces and how they animate. Its reallly, really bad.

I didn't like Halo on the xbox nor pc. And to correct you I wouldn't call MP3 a fps. Its Metriod which is a adventure game, not run n gun.

Standard PS3 fan mantra, if it's not on PS3 then pick it to pieces to try and convince people they should believe some nonsense instead of what they can see right in front of them.

You left out that it's 2 hours long and way too easy for someone of your superior skills.

I say the same thing when Cows and lemmings start killing each other over how a game looks SLIGHTLY inferior on the console of choice against the console they don't like. Especially the thread I see about the PS3 don't have Sku in the boards right now....

BioShock will be a contender....but it wont win. It doesnt have the longevity IMO.

try the game on hard...it takes a lot to take out a big daddy

as to the faces of the splicers they are supposed to be like that due to their mutations

and on the Metroid Prime 3 side-topic, if a Metroid Prime game which requires exploration in addition to shooting is a toddler's game...I guess a straight-forward run-and-gun like Halo is a fetus' game?

Happens both ways, homey. I just don't want to hear about how perfect an insurmountable it is. It has flaws, just like most. Do I see another title doing much better? I'm really not sure. But it won't put much faith in GOTY for me though either.

every game has flaws. but bioshocks are so few and miniscule. thats the reason its number 4 on gamerankings all time ranked games list, above resi4 no less.

I find that sad. Just because the majority of the titles for all systems had been lackluster prior to Bioshock, it looks great. But lets see how it fairs in one, two, three years. It'll be looked at as a great game but not how it is now.

Bioshock is a definite contender for GOTY... whether you like it or not. I think that it's a gripping experience.
