you didnt play the 360 version lol... you would still be playing it first of all. Maybe you could actually tell a difference if you played the PC dem----o wait, there is no PC demo coming anytime soon.

[QUOTE="MikeE21286"]

360 Pros:

Gamer Score/Achievements
Re-Sale Value

PC Pros:

DX 10 utilization
Kb/M Controls
Mod-Community

Nickman71

After playing the 360 demo, I'm definitely going with the PC version.

[QUOTE="Corvin"]360... I've given up on PC hardware, just give me the games without the hardware hassles...naval

So you will play on 360, with 33% hardware failure rate! okay cool!!

Uhhh... MY 360 is working just fine so... yes. I'll take the 360 version. :|

Ok,but aren't you afraid of the law of avearges catching up with you. It would be dissapointing if you get 3 red lights while playing a great game like bioshock

The law of averages state that most likely, he will not have any problems. I would rather have the ring of death than a burnt out BluRay. BluRay laser goes on the PS3, ya have to buy a new PS3. Wow.

Can I have a link for that, or just some more fanboy trash talk.

BTW, had mine since March 2006, no problems what so ever.

Do you really think I carry link in my pocket that i can give whenever I want. You could just have done a google search, you would have easily obtained it.

but here a two links anyway

LOL, just what I thought. The failure rate "Could" be as high as 33%. Nothing like posting sensationalized articles.

Check that pocket better, looks like there's quite a big hole in there.........ROTFLOL!!!

While my main PC is upgrading all I have left is my laptop that can bearly play battlefield 1942. So I guess I'll have to go with the 360 version until my main PC comes back, I hope you can convert saves from 360 to PC.

Actually law of averages imply there is a good chance of 360 stopping and as long as his 360 works nicely, the chances of failure increases. btw does bluray aslo has similar problems like 360 ?

Did you read the article, it was of some quote of a guy saying that the failure rates of th launch systems must be over 30%. Must be true since he said it....

THe article also states that after the launch systems were done, the failure rate dropped very noticable.

So your claim just falls flat.

Hey, not trying to deny that the intial batchs of 360 didn't have high rates of failures, nor deny the the rate of failures are still unexeptable, just that they are not 33%, nor close to that figure. But they are still high, no questions about that.

Actually, the law af averages will imply that there is a 100% chance of all electronics to stop functioning over a period of time.

Does the BluRay laser have this problem, of course it does, and has. Over the next year or so, we will be hearing more of it as the PS3 ages, it's only been out half a year. And the BluRay going out on a PS3 is much more catastrophic than a general hardware failure. Lot's more $$$ to fix once that warranty expires.

Either or... really won't matter.

Best ****ing game to come out for a long time.

Yeah, I think this game has transcended the "better on what platform" argument, though I bet the topic will come out now and then. Heck, I'm just happy I'm gonna get to lay the damn thing.

Unless Microsoft themselves confirm, these are the only way to to check them out. All these reports point to a high failure rate around 30%.

Yeah , but in most of the cases it happens when the elctronic goods has been used overlived its usefulness. in 360 case it happens much before that

I'm sorry if I don't believe your articles of some part time worker working at the local best buy coming up with figures from what he thinks. Sorry, don't pass the test.

But I can agree from what I have heard that the initial batches of 360 had a high failure rate, though mine is still spinning fine.

Ok now problem, but I don't think there is anyother way to get an idea about the failure rate. btw is yours a initial batch ?? my friend has one, which was working quite nicely but before the extened warranty was announced he was always worried.

hmm... better frame rates at much higher resolutions with sharper textures plus kb+m... i think ill go with PC version though the 360 version would be just as enjoyable for those without the hardware to run it on the pc... on a side its a shame that most of my friends that only have 360 aren't even willing to give the game a try because its not football or halo :(

A former employee of EB Games !

Thats the one and only source for the 30 something % failure rate , every article that talks about this percentage even on usually respectable sites has come from just that source , prettyfunny though:lol:

I'm getting the 360 version. It seems like a game that is better suited for a large tv screen than my computer monitor. And my X1600 would probably not be able to run it as well as my 360 anyway.

Sorta. It's more of a FPS than anything.

You're definately gonna be better off with a KB/M.

I know. I'm quoting everyone that says something like "bu yuo Can g3t str0nGer" if you call this an FPS. I would get it for PC but I am not at my house and won't be for weeks.

am i the only one that really care the rumble feature on console controller?

I always think no rumble is bad for a shooting game.

ReverseCycology

Rumble is just one of the things that adds to the depth of playing the game. I love it.

You do know that you can connect gamepad's to PC's, right.

I pesonally could care less about rumble. I have a 360 controller on my PC and I'm currently playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. To me, rumble is meh.

I'd rather have the control of a kb/m for any FPS game.

I wonder how long it'll be until the mod community community restores the stripped out RPG elements. I'd love for it to be modded to be more in line with System Shock 2 gameplay-wise.

The extent to which you people exaggerate things like this is laughable. Ever heard of play testing? The patch scenario could be just as true with the 360 version.

The PC version is better from every angle - unless of course you don't have a good enough PC to run it.

I always think no rumble is bad for a shooting game.

No_Talent_Dev

Rumble is just one of the things that adds to the depth of playing the game. I love it.

You do know that you can connect gamepad's to PC's, right.

I pesonally could care less about rumble. I have a 360 controller on my PC and I'm currently playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. To me, rumble is meh.

I'd rather have the control of a kb/m for any FPS game.

I'd rather have the 360 gamepad and when Crysis comes out I'll use the 360 gamepad for single player and KB & M for multiplayer so the herms don't P0wn me cause they are so l33t

360 gamepad has sucky drivers.

The resolution is better - I will be running mine in 1920x1080p
The textures will be better, doesnt have to be dummed down for underpowered consoles

Yes when the reviewers were comparing the console and PC equivilant FPS games, they were thinking - "GEE WHIZ Doesent the rumble MAKE IT SO MUUCH BETTER"?

Honestly the rumble is a nice feature, but compared to more precise aiming, and less clunky controls its a no brainer.

Hell mods, user content, addons, offical stuff, and its cheaper......

MMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODSSSSSSSSSS!

The community is going to have a field day!

CO-OP FTW :D

Velocitas8

I wonder how long it'll be until the mod community community restores the stripped out RPG elements. I'd love for it to be modded to be more in line with System Shock 2 gameplay-wise.

It will be very interesting to see what they do.

It'll be the same with Fallout 3. The pure-ists will modify the game to their hearts content.

Me personally - im budding for Bioshock Co-op like with Shock 2.

I'll take the 360 version, The PC version may need a patch or driver update or some crap that would pee me off.No_Talent_Dev
360s now get patches for games, your 360 can red ring..........

Cmon a better excuse is needed than that.

Definitely the Xbox 360 version. My nVidia 6800 GT card just died on me. I don't want to have to deal with bad fps and other bugs and patches for the PC version. Plug and play is the way to go for me. No hassles and all fun. That's the best way to go.

Great ripoff the developers

While I dont oppose the whole 'try before you buy', pirating is a no no....

There is no online. And you don't need the CD-key to do it anyway, if you are suggesting piracy. Which is "immoral".
