The pic isn't modified, the dev just messed up, and isn't going to look like that in the full game, but the picture is real.

I wouldn't count on that ;) look at the vid...or look at a HD comparison vid, they're the same, people should just accept that wuts the big deal?! its an old game already i finished it last year...

Are these comparisons between the 360 retail and PS3 demo versions?

That looks like a very significant difference in both colour palette, contrast and texture resolution.

I still think we need to wait for a proper comparison between the two retail releases. Demos tend to be innaccurate nowadays.

And besides, most website previews indicate that the PS3 version either looks as good or better than the 360 version, and that the colour palette looks more vibrant. These pictures say otherwise.

It is real, I seen it for myself. Download the demo and look that the Big Daddy corpse in the waterfall where those two Splicer are. The Devs messed up and didn't put the real texture on it, will be fixed in the full game. Also the big deal is some cows hyped this as the 'Real' version of Bioshock. So it is just System Wars ownage.

Hardly. I have no interest in, nor do i care about Bioshock. Im not buying it, these threads just annoy me. Where, on page 5, someone provided the answer, why do we have a further 8 pages of Sony bashing? Its ridiculous. Take your Bioshock and your Gears of Wars 2, I'l be playing Resistance 2 and LBP until i get Killzone 2.

No, the picture is not modified. I've downloaded and played the PS3 demo and saw it for myself.

I was actually going to get this game on the PS3... but I think I'll just opt for the 360 version. I saw it at Wal-Mart for 40 bucks. I also saw Mass Effect at Wal-Mart for 30!!! I couldnt believe it. Usually those games stay $60 for a long time. I guess that's just Wal-Mart though, you cant get those deals at Gamestop.

Anyway, yeah, the original 360 version will get the money from me. It hardly has much to do with this picky-pixel stuff, but the price.

Seriously, if I only had a PS3, I wouldnt let these screens stop me from getting the game.

No, the picture is not modified. I've downloaded and played the PS3 demo and saw it for myself.

EXACTLY, it really makes them look pathetic(and poor). Bioshock is an old-ass game I wont be buying or playing, so in the end...who cares? This screenshot was already proven to be the fault of the developers, so any jab at Sony's harware is weak..........I havent seen ANY game on my 360 that looks as good as Uncharted on the PS3. Sorry, but thats what the grass on the other side of the fence tastes like. Now you know.

UPDATE: Is real. Some say it is probably limited to the big daddy.

2K said that was a minor mistake present ONLY in the demo, and that doesn't represent the quality of the final product. Could you please stick this into your mind? BIOSHOCK DEVELOPERS STATED THAT THE FINAL PRODUCT DOESN'T DIFFER FROM THE XBOX 360 VERSION IN QUALITY TERMS (differences in colour, saturation or brightness/contrast aren't quality downgrades).

2K have already said that this must have slipped by them and it is not up to their standards and that they are working on fixing it.

So stop saying that these pictures are Photoshopped.

I love my PS3, great console, but you have to admit that this game looks worse than the XBOX 360 version.

As far as I am aware, it was announced pretty much right after the demo had been released that the game had gone gold.

I am repeating it because most people can not be bothered to go back and read the whole thread. If somebody comes in to post in this thread now, they are most probably going to just look at the last page.

All I was saying is that the Playstation 3 version will be less superior. When it's shipped, it will be anyway. 2K may get it a bit better looking with a patch, but if we are being honest, it's not just the big daddy that looks worse than the XBOX 360 game. The tiles at the start of the game look a lot worse than the 360 one. They have had ages to work on bringing this to the PS3, and graphically, it's worse.
