Bioshock vs Fallout

Bioshock isn't bioware? i always thought it was for some reason. The style of it compared to fallout 3 is uncanny.. Fallout 3 is bethesda which is weird in itself. So bioware just does Mass EFfect this gen? Anyways i figure i'd create a poll which is a better series Bioshock or Fallout?

How long ago did you start gaming? If you're comparing the series, theres absolutely no contest considering Fallout 1 and 2 are almost alwayslisted in top 100 games of all times.

I would say on the absolute overall, Bioshock for me, but by a microscopic amount over Fallout.

a long time ago. I realize fallout was orignally interplay and system shock was looking glass i think.... But now its 2k and bethesda. I always thought bioware had somethign to do with bioshock though for some reason. I didn't realize it was 2k.

FO3 stinks.

FALLOUT 1 &2 Are about 1000X better than Fallout 3 (Oblivion with guns).

That said, Fallout 3 still ended up being a good game.

Funny think about Bioshock, it too was inferior to System Shock.

I guess Consoles dumb down the PC experience, but still, Bioshock was excellent.
I will say Bioshock wins, just because it was so fresh, and so long ago.

i agree both games ahve a similar history. The style of both games are also similar. It's weird. That's why i made a topic. I figured they would ahve been done by the same people but they never have been.

Well, we both know that it isn't so much the Consoles specs, as it is the demographic of the consoles users, the controller interface devs have to work for, and the devs/pubs choosing to cater to that audience and making it work. It's about sales, and penetratation, and catering to the needs of the consoles strengths and interface (Controller vs. Keyboard/Mouse).

It's much easier to type Consoles dumb it down though, it's all the same.

Can you really compare games from two different genres? FPS vs. RPG, it just doesn't seem right to me...

I think I'm one of the few who absolutely hated Fallout 3 which is weird because I relatively enjoyed Oblivion. I would pick BioShock. It was fun and atmosphere was hauntingly awesome. "Somewhere beyond the sea..."

apples and oranges for me. not to play politician here, but i love them both.

Fallout by a landslide. Superior game world, superior content, better product.

Bioshock is ok, but it's a huge departure from System Shock.

Dead Space is more like System Shock than Bioshock.
