First off I wanna say that black colleges and anyone that is associated with them is a racist. More of a racist than Michael Richards. Second I wanna say that it's BS that the NAACP didn't want Michael Vick suspended forever from the NFL, yet they wanted Don Imus off the radio forever for something much lesser than what Vick did. NAACP is racist as far as I'm concerned.newimagejkep

The ideals of the NAACP are sound, it's the current leadership that denegrate the organization. Martin Luther King was a great man that stood up for a sound cause. The current leaders are opportunistic vultures that serve only themselves. If you try to attack my previous statement, I have 1st amendment rights and the right to express myself.

hyperbole much?
so all black colleges are unified in the idea of exterminating everyone except black people?
members of black colleges have gone out lynching white folk?

Racism goes both ways, NAACP proved that, and I wasn't talking about black folk, It was the NAACP that I wanted to point out. If you took what I wrote literally, I pitty your super sensitivity.

I think he's reffering to the NAACP not the black colleges. I don't 100% disagree and say there shouldn't be a game. A lot of these schools are under rated and often over looked.

It's still hyperbole
Just say they're a radical group or whatever, dont F****** compare them tothat group.
I've never heard of periodic NAACP lynchings.

Really though, there is some truth in what he's saying. What if there were "white colleges"? I'm sure that would go over quite well. I thought we were striving for "equality" here, so there shouldn't be exceptions, no matter how justified.
Whether or not we actuallytake offenseif they exist is another matter, but strictly on the basis of principle, it is racist by the current definition of that term. It discriminates membership by race.

hes got a point. What if a there was a "white" college, or a game called "white college football". what would people say to that? Although I would not go so far as to say that everyoen that associates with a black college is a racist.

Because you don't have to be Black to attend a black college or university. Its not like Black Colleges are segregated like schools were in the past. Some people here really need to read up on history. There is no discrimination of membrship by race because you don't have to be black.
Do you people even realize why black colleges were formed in the first place? Its because schooling was segregated in the past and there was no other option. That is how black colleges came into existance. So don't go making any implications before you know what the history is. Also there is a difference between a historically black school and a prodominately black school.

I think it's being taken a little bit out of context. The black colleges were established years ago to allow eqaul opportunity for people to attain a higher education. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Grambling is one of the most prolific all black programs in the US, Eddie Robinson being one of the greatest coaches of all time. Can we say it's equally racist to suppress these programs and provide little to no coverage of them?

Ditto,
I was just about to say the same thing but you beat me to it....it's predominantly black, but by no means is it limited to a specific race.
EDUCATE YOURSELVES!!!
To many, historically black colleges are all black. Not so. Although most black colleges have a majority of black students, not all do, and virtually all have non-black students. Approximately 17-18% of the students in black colleges are white and another 13% are foreign. Nor are faculty at the black college all black. A third or more of most black college faculty members are non-black. In fact, the historically black colleges have always been open to whites when the law allowed. Also, "historically black" is different from "predominantly black" and predominantly black is different from an institution having a "plurality" of black students. In most predominantly black colleges, more than 50 percent of the students are black. An institution may be neither historically nor predominantly black but may have a plurality of black students. The concept of the black college, however, goes beyond the racial composition of its student body and faculty. It is a concept that is rooted in history. To understand the history of the black college, it may be useful to consider public policy as it has passed through five major stages with respect to the education of blacks.EDUCATE YOURSELVES!!!

Gramblings coach was amazing, but arent they a division 2 school? If there was a white college football game it wouldn't sell bc everyone in the game except for the QB would stink. Also, is this a way for the blacks to get their "reparations" I keep hearing them say they want? No race owes you anything. You already have control of every sport except for hockey and soccer. What else can you possibly want?

Pretend you lived in the early sixties and was a minority. Your IQ shows to be just as high as the highest white person. You want to go to college, yet every major university refuses to admit you because of your ethnic background. Is it racist to then go to an institution that allows you admittence based on your intelligence and looks past your ethnicity?
