Black Ops 3 Beta impressions?

I'm going to pick it up i reckon, i had zero interest but a friend got me a beta key.

Movement is better balanced imo, it's much less spammy and takes more skill and intelligence to use the wall running, jet pack and slide to good effect.

Weapons are ok, nice that most actually have some recoil on them and I can tell i'll like the burst assault rifle when i unlock it.

I still think the killstreaks are a bit gimmicky, hate the miniature tank thingy, it takes too many rounds to kill the thing.

Some very blatant Crysis rip offs in there too. One of the specialists is literally a rip off of Prophet, even in name and the i already hate the Crysis bow knock off.

I made a friend download the beta. After he has tried this laggy clusterfuck of a mess, he sent me a message saying "FU. i want me bandwidth back"

I'm sorry, but this is the one game I know will be better on PS4, yet I'll get it or play it on Xbox One based on the controller, impulse triggers, and online.

I just tried it out. Its alright. I wish the zombies mode was available in the beta.

tbh I would've preferred that Treyarch made Word at War 2 instead.

But I guess futuristic shooters are currently regarded as way cooler and more popluar in the game industry.

I guess games like Crysis , Halo, Titan Fall, Advanced Warfare, Unreal Tournament, etc. aren't enough.

So that's why we're getting Black ops 3.

Agreed. I'd rather a World at War 2.

I can still remember first playing WAW and being amazed at the graphics, settings and so on. Too bad it's campaign was short and with less Japanese content whilst Nazi content outweighed it heavily. There was a certain feeling I had playing through COD1-2-3-Big Red One and WAW that I haven't had with any others. (MW1 and 2 Weren't bad)

some highlights of the beta, game is a must purchase and has lots of things taken from Destiny its awesome

I played it and was actually impressed with the visuals and how smooth it was....it was pretty fun. I got my ass handed to me though.

It was okay. Didn't seem that different from AW to me.

The following or killing the robot mode was fun but I think reducing the players would have made the mode more fun as it quickly turned into a spazfest.

Would be nice if they had Free for All in hardcore mode and remove all the boost jumping and other crap from the hardcore modes.

Will get it but I'm not expecting it to be any different than what has come before.

looks like old games .... God, how do gamers keep playing the same shit for, how many years now, and still didn't get board.

the beta was far better an mp experience than blops2, ghost, & aw. guns feel right, and map size is awesome. specialists arent all that op. there are some annoying ones like death gun, rejack, glitch and cloak....but death gun is the only one that gets you multi kills.

time to kill is a tad bit slow for me. i mean i dont want ghost time to kill, but mw3 time to kill or cod 4 would be perfect. aiming sensitivity is a tad slow. smgs feel like lmgs and really hard for me to swing my aim if i turn the corner and my crosshairs isnt close to my enemy

i'm actually more curious about the single player because of the specialist. are all 9 specialist going to be playable in the campaign ? if so, then im imagining blops 3 might have a better story.

what do i know anyway, i'm done taking cod mp seriously since mw3.

I really enjoyed it. Think I'll be buying it

Had a ton of fun for 5 days finished level 42.

It sucks...

• Specialist is pretty much the "Supers" from Destiny there is literally a Fist of Havoc super in Black Ops 3 which is a super that is being used by the Titans in Destiny.
• Sparrow Specialist in black ops 3 is named after the sparrows in Destiny
• Gun Specialist in black ops 3 is made after the Golden Gun super in Destiny heck you can even use the gun Specialist to destory objects like a UAV same thing to Destiny using the golden gun to destroy oracles
• etc

You must have been in last place constantly eh? :P

One of my friends also hated the beta.. but he always had the most deaths, he just sucked lol

Actually I did fairly well compared to AW. It just felt like COD and I'm bored of COD. What they're doing with this one isn't enough. However, should they release a MW collection, I'd buy that day 1.

Right there with ya! a MW collection is insta purchase at full price for me too! would love to play all those amazing games again on current gen with current gen controls especially MW2 ah the days when i had 2 or 3 nukes in every single match lol

i took a break with Ghosts and advanced warfare so when i played Black Ops 3 it just brought back memories from black ops days lol, so much fun

Ah, that explains why you can tolerate it. Those two games killed it for me.

Yeah i pretty much reached my limit when Ghosts came out not to mention having all my close friends telling me it was straight up terrible and nothing like CoD (big maps, lots of space to run, etc).

when advanced warfare came out i was already addicted to destiny so that game was also a skip but after playing the beta for BO3 all i gotta say is wow it might be the game to distract me from destiny this November lol

Was fun, played a couple of games. I will buy it as always for the single player mode.

Just downloaded it an hour ago and played a few games. Don't think it is that great.

i wonder if the netcode will be the same when the game actually releases.....based on the beta i had great connection.

i might actually buy this...not sure but i hope they dont change the netcode or i will be upset.

oh... and super jumping and running up walls makes the game a bit too hard for me :P

The Beta on PC has problems

The high jumps and wall runs were the best thing in this game, if your really good you can pretty much dodge bullets but i gotta agree in terms connections the game was very smooth even with my very bad internet connection

It's like if Call of Duty, Vanquish and Titanfall had a fat orgy and gave birth to this game.

I really like it. I might buy it on PC.

Also guys if you have Black Ops 2 on Steam you have the Beta.

PC beta and I'll try it. That and only that.

This beta is useless to me without FFA mode. I can't believe they did not include it. Meh. I don't like playing on teams.

In the couple of matches I played, Time to Kill seemed too fast as well which is a major turnoff for me. The thing that made Black Ops 2 my favorite Call of Duty game is I feel they got the TTK just right, but in this one, it seemed almost just as fast as Ghosts and AW.

Yep i was very annoyed too that the game had no free for all as its always the match i go to to practice, TTK was much slower than MW2 and MW3 its more like black ops 2

CoD needs a WW2 game again to shake things up.

Even on PC maxed this looked really bad. I thought I was playing on Xbox One. lmao
