Black Ops is the best online FPS ever made

It's ok but nowhere near the best FPS ever made. I perfer the MW series over what treyarch comes out with. You can tell Treyarch copied alot of stuff off of MW2 and trashed stuff from World at War on Black Ops.

Black Ops is the worst COD yet so no way. Poor guns, maps, hit detection, awful graphics. Just a terrible game, I'll take COD4/MW2 anyday.

RTCW/ET can beat it easy.

No Counter strike 1.6/source and Team Fortress 2 are much much better games and what i consider to be the best online fps ever made and pletny of other games are betterl ike bc2+ vietnam,left 4 dead 1 & 2, Shattered Horizon, Unreal tourament 3 + 2004, and Wolfenstien enemy territory. Its not even the best call of duty lol 1,2, and 4 are much better.

I didn't want to believe it at first but Call of Duty: Black Ops is just the complete package for anonline FPS. Only being held back by it's servers, BO offers so much multiplayer content that it's no wonder why it's so popular. The formula is just very fast, which is a huge deal. I tried to believe that BC2 was better but it's just way too slow. It's all about instant action and most shooters have you constantly running to the action.

No one wants to spend the majority of their time running and waiting to respawn, they just want to kill things. That's what the COD franchise does best. I'm not saying BO will be timeless and still be good in 2-3 years but as for right now, no onlineFPS can compete.

I do believe MW3 will be better though. Only because it will be the newest one.

I agree, Haters always hate. It's the fast frenetic gameplay and the near 60FPS framerate which makes the game so much fun.

The controls, fast movement and addictive features (like constant XP and challenges) definitely give it a bit of a leg up on BC2, but even with the frustration BC2 gives me when my guy takes an hour to whip out his knife then freakin misses, I still enjoy it more for what it offers.

I don't like how it handles lag/ping. I'll get off plenty of hits to kill, then from their POV I never even shot......

then add all the camping and spray and pray tactics and blah. how about a game that gives you a gun that you actually have to aim to kill someone with?

No, it's not even one of the better ones out there. I think it's the most overated game out there period.

CoD2 is still be best CoD.

I honestly did think BLOPS was as good as COD4 within the first 2 weeks of playing it. But, like all other COD games for me, the excitement eventually wears off. No amount of new weapons or rainbow gun paint will change the fact the series makes its gameplay gratifying by keeping it way too simple, ruining the longevity of all these sequels.

I would have to say that BFBC2 is probably my vote for number 1.I seem to enjoy it more cause the people on it are not as rude as most of the people that i meet in Black ops, and I seem to enjoy the matches more in bad company 2.

Until I see 64 players, dedi server files, mod tools on release date, no perks, no kill streaks, no dumbed down gameplay for simple minded casuals, and maps that are actually balanced for 64 players(Cod1,cod:UO and cod2?).....cod is just an overrated piece of garbage.

This is coming from someone who used to love cod and nothing but it...

CS S destroys Black Ops in gameplay and in replay value. Endless FREE maps and FREE mods. And not to mention it requires more skill.

While it was fun at times, it far from best online MP for a shooter. TF2 is easily much better with having a great class system,nice style,and a lot more content.

No way man :P Killzone, Halo, Resistance,Battlefield, Gears, Uncharted, etc are better then Call of Duty.

For every normal adult player there are loads of 10 years old kids that have too small hands for the controller and dont know how to play. It doesnt require skill to own them.

I think that on consoles halo is the best for online fps. You have so many modes and so many features. I personally think this because halo 3, I played over 7000 games with roughly 5000 in matchmaking, 2000 in custom games with plenty great games like predator, ghostbusters,the epic fatty game mode, and just good ol' fun with friends, and campaign i played around 100 missions. But sadly i have nothing close in reach, becauseterrible maps, no fatty, and it dont have the same feel of halo 3. I wish that 3 had a big community.

This all my opinion on the best console game. I have never had the chance for pc online shooters which is very sad. I am sure that plenty of the games on pc are much better than any cod (except maybe 4) like unreal tournament, team fortress, battlefield 2, and probably many others.

I doubt even the developers of BO would agree with you!

The Famas in that game is so overpowered. If someone hits you once in the leg with it you die, but if you shoot them a ton of times with another gun, they don't die. The killstreaks are also WAY overpowered. Have you ever played at nuketown when someone has a chopper gunner? It's pretty much a spawn killing device.

COD = spawn, shoot, kill, shoot, kill. get shot in back, die. spawn, shoot, kill, shoot, kill. get shot in back, die. repeat for rest of the game.

that sums up what COD has become.

Call of Duty 4 = sprint, sprint, kill, die, sprint, sprint, kill, die

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 = sprint, sprint, kill, die, sprint, sprint, kill, die
