Why are you comparing footage that was faked to make the public think it was in game with full blown FMV?

Anyways, I have no idea.

I think Blizzard edges out SE, but some SE scenes are absolutely beautiful.

blizzard has always been the leader in video game CGI as far as im concerned. Was sadly one of the reasons i bought SC2, unfortunately i was gyped and they did most of the cutscenes in game.

maybe in terms of art style i could see the argument... but from a technical perspective i think blizz is significantly ahead.

There was a topic about this a few months ago. The poll came out to a near tie if I recall correctly.

Blizzard tends to have the best looking high quality CGI though.

Both companies do produce some epic CGI scenes. I definately don't know who is ahead technically, but at the end of the day, I don't mind so long as they produce more :P

Blizzard. Heck one of the reason I love playing Blizzard games are the awesome cinematics they contain :D

I'd say that the blizzard has the best CGI but the ones that make the CGI in SE are better, as they can come out with alot more and it ALMOSt looks as good as blizzey's.

the CG is often done by other companies other than blizzard, but safe to say Blizzard produces the best.

I don't know guys, it's kind of hard to go against the real thing.

But uh...yeah, try comparing the older games and SE is the clear winner. But today? Blizzard is the juggernought.

What Square has been able to build up is pretty impressive though. They went from only producing the deformed character FMV in FFVII (they didn't do the full blown characters, from what I understand, which were done in Hollywood), to FFVIII, and now they're some of the best CGI artists in the industry.

Without a doubt, Square Enix. They have nearly mastered incredible cinematics.

SC1's and Warcraft 3's arnt even that good compared to FF7/8/X

Most people were probly thinking of the diablo cinematics ITT, which are quite good, but they dont hold up today unless you have nostalgia goggles glued on

ill say that square enix cgi is prettier to look at but blizzards is more well done, it seems like more care was put in to blizzards cgi pieces

diablo 1? i actually dont remember that game having very good CG.

when i think blizzard i think SC1&2 and WC3.

its much easier for blizzard to focus on one CGI trailer per 3 years than Sqaure to do about 30 per game

The CGI in FFXIII blew me away more than any of the WoW and SC2 cinematics

Blizzard CGI has always been the best for a reason. Despite my dislike for some of their games, I cant deny the quality of their CGI.

Been a fan of both I have to say Blizzard are the better of the two, it just are a more epic feel to it. Been playing through Warcraft 3 and damn they are some nice CGI.
